Are you all happy with the ford cars and trucks that you own? Thats a laugh !!!!!!! I have a 2001 F350 and its a PIECE OF SHIT!! First at 24,000 mile the motor took a shit so they put a new on in wow thanks. Then after 50,000 miles on this motor I have a head gasket leak but they wont pay to fix that. They told me they would have to pull the motor to fix it and that would be a minium of $1,400 dollars. What the hell is that!! Plus their is a short in the cruise control wires in the shifter lever. Nope they wont cover that either! Then at 70,000 the front ball joints go out well that will be $800.00. now they recall the cruise control on this trucks but its not the parts that I need. gee thanks again Now 4 monthes after getting the ball joints replaced the front end is rattaling and making all kinds of noise. What the FUCK is this. Now all you here about at work is quality , quality , quality, Well maybe you need to stop FUCKING WITH EVERYONE AND BACK UP YOUR PRODUCT AND IT MIGHT GET BETTER!! MY OLD TRUCK HAD 200,000+ ON IT AND IT NEVER HAD ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS BUT IT WASN'T A FUCKING FORD EITHER. HOW CAN WE BE LOYALE WHEN THEY ARE JUNK. SO HEY BILL FORD I HOPE YOU READ THIS AND IT PISSES YOU OFF!! YOU WANT TO DO SOME THING TO HELP FORD THEN STAND BEHIND YOUR PRODUCTS NOT JUST HALF ASSED. WHY DON'T YOU PAY TO GET THIS FIXED FOR ME YOU KEEP SAYING YOU WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE THEN STAND BEHIND YOUR PRODUCTS!!! STOP PLAYING WITH OUR LIVES SAYING I AM GOING TO CLOSE 14 PLANTS BUT I CAN ONLY TELL YOU 7 OR 8 OF THEM NOW. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT. THEN THEY TELL EVERYONE THAT PLANTS WILL BE SOLD OR CLOSED WHAT BY 2008 THAT REALLY HELPS MORALE AND KEEPS QUALITY UP! AT THIS POINT I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY ANYONE IS BUYING FORD PRODUCTS SEEMS LIKE FORDS GOAL IS TO KEEP EVERYONE IN LIMBO AND SEE HOW MUCH CHAOS THEY CAN STIR UP. AS FOR MY TRUCK I WOULD LIKE TO SHOVE IT RIGHT UP FORDS ASS SIDEWAYS!!!

I NOW BELIVE THE OLD SAYING F O R D (Fucked Over Rebuilt Dodge) :banghead::censored: :kissass:

Fords in my family:

F350 6.0powertroke - worked like a horse .. holds up - my Father-in-law is ery happy about it

01 Mustang GT Convertible - lots of miles, again he is delighted

03 Mustang V6 - interior is a little rattly, but trucks on and my Mother-in-law loves it

99 Expedition - had engine problems, but that truk moved my partner from Texas to Ohio, and back (and on the way back towed a huge U-haul trailer), and in and out of 4 different places in Ohio .. after those 2 insidents with the engine problems, with 170k miles it keeps on going strong. We are very happy with it.

05 Focus - my car .. had no big problems, but got buyers remorse and pissed of by my local ford dealers' inattention and sold it.

now I have a loaded 04 Mazda3s sedan (if that counts ) - delighted

My partner - she is looking into a Ranger or Escape to replace the Expedition.

Her father also has an 03 Jetta 2.0 (2.slow) .. what a POS ... and a C5 Corvette, that just locked up into "limp" mode - G-d knows what happened - it just went in to have that solved.

I should also mention that with the exception of one Avalanche, my Frather in law uses only SuperDutys as his work trucks .... and never had any problems with it.

Rarely a problem, my 1999 F-150 has 130,000 miles and I can't believe All I have every brought it in for is tires, brakes, plugs @ 100,000 m. Just the routine stuff. I've had Fords all my life and can't believe the difference between these new cars 90's thru 2006 and the ones I had in the 60's thru 80's man. My brother has 200,000 plus on his Aerostar. :happy feet: :happy feet:

I have had more repairs on ford vehicles I have owned as opposed to GM products. I still own a 1991 Chevy pick up and it has been problem free. The best car I ever owned was a 79 Monte Carlo. I have owned several ford cars and trucks and they are far less durable. I have two Focuses (?) now that have been plagued with recalls and defects. Saturday I take my focus in for broken coil springs. This car has been in the repair garage too many times to count. My wifes 04 focus we had 4 days and the transmission had to be replaced. Nothing like buying a new car and it's back at the dealers for a couple of weeks. I work for ford and I try to patronize my employer BUT it's getting really hard to spend money earned on a product that is clearly substandard. My opinion based on actual experience. YMMV

Substandard in terms of mileage, warranty and competitive features. Forget any residual or resale value if you do want to dump it. The best ford car I ever owned was a Capri II. I think it was a European ford if that makes a difference. The pinion gear went out in this one around 50,000 miles.

Ford has a lot of room for improvement. Their dealer /service network SUCKS. The dealer I bought the 04 from was unable to fix my car. This was a new car under warranty. I ended up taking it to an independent shop for repair to have it fixed correctly. Ford's warranty repair is a bad joke.

And ford has to wonder why people are buying "other" vehicles? Car and truck sales are not down for everyone, just the American labels.

Flame away~

2003 focus zx5 40,000 trouble free miles

2004 explorer xlt the truck and engine are fantastic but the tranny is SHIT. only 20000 miles of very mild driving. thank goodness its a lease. it's disappointing because like i said its a beatiful suv with a great interior but awful to drive. wont go into reverse and sometimes slips out of gear while driving.

Happy with ALL the Fords I've owned. 50000 on a 1989 Mustang GT before it was totaled, 75000 on my 1991 GT, 175000 on my wife's Taurus, 93000 on my current 97 Cobra, and 75000 on my wife's Marauder. Never had any major problems with ANY of them. And I expect the same from my '07 GT that's on order!

2006 Escape - scheduled maintenance only 1 yr in service plus Courtesy Ford Lincoln went the extra mile to get me a laptop that was offered with the 2005 model end. 1985 F-150 , 300,000 kms and I don't do shit to that truck!!! All Fords I have owned have been great , sounds like 12 pointer could use some pointers on being reasonably adept at maintenance and not hammering the shit out of his ride!!

Did you even maintain your F-150 or did you let it rot and then expect performance?

You have brought up a very good point, Roadrunner. It also applies to any vehicle that you have. Face it, some people out on the roads seem to think that all you have to do is get in and drive without a care in the world. Then they wonder why their car or truck decides to take a shit when they need to get somewhere. Also, it seems to be forgotten that stuff on them wears out and you don't have to beat them to death either. Letting it sit idle doesn't help either on some things. Let's face it, if you want to drive, you are going to have to keep it up, get fluids changed on schedule, brakes fixed, etc, etc. A few bucks spent on parts and maintenance will go a long way to having your car, truck or SUV ready to rock when you are. As for the gas prices, simply put-THEY SUCK.

I think this point was very well illustrated in an older thread, where a poster pointed out how his daughter meticulously maintained her accord (civic), and how everyone else in the service had the dealership any little thing they suggested, just to keep the car top notch ..

I think maintenance is a big difference in the brands .. heck a VW salesguy told me straight up "People think they can go without maintenance, but these are more high tech (yeah right) engines, if you have to put in the time to maintain them - you cannot just beat on them" .. this was last get Jetta - I am happy I passed.
