RichardJensen
Short of some hardware glitch, I don't know anyone who's had a problem with Android, much less security with Android. I have had nothing but problems with Android, mixed with occasional bouts of competence from the OS. And I *barely* use my Android devices. I think Android's days as the dominant mobile OS are numbered. It took fully a decade for MS to obtain a dominant position in desktops, and several years past that to displace Unix from workstations (back when there was a meaningful difference between the two), but it happened. And I expect it will happen again for roughly the same reasons--though certainly not in the near term. papilgee4evaeva
What exactly are you trying to do with Android that causes you to have "nothing but problems?"
RichardJensen
Initially, it was application development using PhoneGap---but after re-writing the app three times, I ended up with something that was 80% compatible among the 5 devices I tested it on--and all it was doing was sending AJAX requests to a server and operating the device's camera. Subsequently, I've had to deal with random lockups while using an admittedly older Samsung tablet as nothing more than a browser and eBook reader. papilgee4evaeva
Ah, so you're looking at it primarily through developer's eyes. That skews things.
RangerM
What exactly are you trying to do with Android that causes you to have "nothing but problems?" Well, you can't do this with an android. (no, I'm not saying RJ would do this, but it is funny)

RangerM
I don't think Samsung is looking for that to be done with their tablets... Does seem to be a kind of niche market.

NickF1011
One thing I would love to be able to do is display my Waze map on the LCD screen to see where all the reported speed traps are.
mettech
Looks like another way to have sex in your new car.. At least it doesn't puke in the car after you're finished. And that's another story 40 years ago..

Assuming Google fixes it... Great app that turned to crap lately.
