Dave-S
Are all other brands of cars as prone to fingerprints on the touch screen as the one in the Fusion? I find it so annoying that I always try to use Voice Commands instead to avoid using the touch screen. Has anyone found a solution to the fingerprint problem other than constantly cleaning the screen? Dave

jdoe1378
Nushield. works great. Nushield is the answer on all the forums. Doesn't completely remove the fingerprint issue (nothing ever will) but it knocks the problem way down. Just make sure you know how to install a screen protector or hire someone who does. Hybrider
I noticed a lot of fingerprints after I first installed my Nushield. I was quite disappointed. But then after one or two cleanings with some touchscreen cleaning fluid, I haven't noticed any fingerprint smears in months. I almost think the finger oils and/or cleaning fluid needed to permeate the Nushield screen protector to make the fingerprints not show up as much now. So now I have good-sized barely-used bottle of cleaning fluid riding around in the car with me, for no apparent reason at all now. Dave-S
Do you have to remove the trim molding around the screen to do the installation?
akirby
Do you have to remove the trim molding around the screen to do the installation? Nope. it goes on just like a phone screen protector. In fact it's exactly the same thing as a phone screen protector just larger.
nmadole
I there any way to repair / replace the screen if there are light scratches on the screen?
fordtech1
I there any way to repair / replace the screen if there are light scratches on the screen? Not sure about repair, however the screen (FDIM) can be replaced without any programming. Just remove and replace. That way not trips to dealer. Install and calibrate touch points. Most just require removal of trim, 4 7mm screws, 4 Phillips screws on apim, separate then reverse procedure.
