Yeah, it does sound too early. But if I could see any damage myself, such as fraying, cracking, or extra hard and shiny spots, I would go ahead and have it changed out, because I would rather pay a bit of extra money instead of risking having a complete breakdown like that.

That sounds like a really good idea. Do you have any photos you can share of the installation of the insulation you have put on your rear and side windows?

Great Posters (Mustang Pictured)
Hybrider replied to Anthony's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
Yes, very cool poster! And I'm shocked and pleased to see the '85 GT is included. But it looks more like it is the '85 LX profile since I don't see the GT spoiler in the profile. -
Ford Bumps Fusion Energi Range to 610 Miles
Hybrider replied to Harley Lover's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
What I don't understand is how the Fusion Energi fuel economy ratings went up and the Fusion Hybrid went down, so now they are both identical to each other. The larger battery in the Energi should have some impact on fuel economy I would think. -
The Sport and Hybrid engines probably produce more engine noise than the other models is probably why Ford feels they need the ANC and the others don't.

From what I've seen, the window sticker, at least on Fusions built in Mexico, typically becomes available just about exactly a week before the scheduled build date.

I was at my dealer this week, and I compared the White Gold paint chip to the Tectonic paint chip. And the White Gold was much less gold than the Tectonic. The White Gold was very close to silver to my eyes, with just the faintest hint of gold.

I'm guessing the FRAP capacity currently taken up by Fusions is now needed for the increased demand for the new Mustang, and the slightly declining demand for Fusions means the capacity at the Hermosillo plant can now meet that demand?

Yes, starting with MY 2015, all Fusions come standard with the Rearview Camera. -
Does New Fusion Have Push Button Start As Standard?
Hybrider replied to bdegrand's topic in Fusion Forum
It does appear that starting in 2017 _all_ Fusion models will come standard with Push-Button Start (aka PBS). -
I still think the White Gold image shown above, and also similar in the Fusion Build&Order tool at ford.com, is showing up darker than it will in person. It might even be really close to the Tectonic color which had been previously offered on the Fusions.

How about "game enhancer"?

If you look closely at your window sticker, at the link below, it has your name on it. http://fordlabels.webview.biz/webviewhybrid/WindowSticker.aspx?vin=3FA6P0D91GR206037

Considering Fusion Hybrid & remote start question
Hybrider replied to mrcultureshock's topic in Fusion Forum
There are many discussions ongoing and archived at the Fusion Hybrid (FFH) forum which can answer all of your questions listed above, and many more too. http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/ There is one such discussion happening right now which should interest you (link below), since some of us have listed out our reasons for choosing the FFH over the other hybrids. http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/10205-what-did-you-cross-shop-your-ffh-with/ BTW, the link to the FFH forum is listed in the very top bar at the top of every page on this forum. -
It would be nice to see a direct side profile as well.

I noticed a lot of fingerprints after I first installed my Nushield. I was quite disappointed. But then after one or two cleanings with some touchscreen cleaning fluid, I haven't noticed any fingerprint smears in months. I almost think the finger oils and/or cleaning fluid needed to permeate the Nushield screen protector to make the fingerprints not show up as much now. So now I have good-sized barely-used bottle of cleaning fluid riding around in the car with me, for no apparent reason at all now.

My 2014 Fusion Hybrid came from the factory with a similar defect to what the OP posted in the first photo above, where the right rear fender meets the bumper panel. It looked like there was a small paint blob drip-type of bump at that point, and then that dried paint bump got pinched when the two panels were cinched together, causing the paint blob to get squeezed out and eventually peel off. Since I have had some occasional bad experiences with the quality of body shop work in the past, I opted to just spring for the color-coordinated touch-up paint from the dealer to cover the tiny black spot where the primer was showing through after the paint blob had peeled off. That was enough to make the spot of paint damage not so noticeable for me.

Why should our choice of safety options be dependent on us opting to get leather seats? If we don't want leather, whether for comfort, ethical, or other reasons, the Fusion options do not allow us to be anywhere as safe as we possibly can. If we don't opt for the leather seats, we are not allowed to have any of this long list of vital safety features: 1) Adaptive Cruise Control with Forward Collision Warning 2) Active Park Assist with Forward Sensing System 3) Lane-departure Warning with Lane-keeping System & Driver Monitoring 4) Auto High Beams 5) Rain-Sensing Wipers 6) Auto-dimming Driver Side Exterior Mirror 7) Auto-Dimming Rear View Mirror 8) BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-traffic Alert

The shipping time seems to depend on many different variables, such as possibly having to wait for a train car or truck to fill up with autos before the next transport step even starts. My FFH took 13 days (basically 2 weeks) to be shipped to my AZ dealer from Mexico, and it is only a 5 hour drive by car between those two spots. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get any tracking details during that 2 weeks, so I have no clue where the hold-up occurred.

2014 Fusion Hybrid SE Ingot Silver
Hybrider replied to Hybrider's topic in Vehicle Locator By Ford Employees
I checked with Ashley from Ford, and she said my Fusion "is listed as in transit to your dealer with an ETA of 2/27, which is subject to change." Thanks, Hybrider
