Gotta be a Yes Vote

10 units a day. New plant, all new people, most with zero factory time at all and 180 of them. I have seen enough launches with a whole new car, like from escort to Crown Victoria with full shift,1800 people and the plant was happy to get 150 cars a day, and this was with a crew that had built cars for years. I don't say this to support them but as a comparison. How many units would Kansas put out with 180 people?

Me & Bigc will be voting yes! Gonna be in front row of the news conference tomorrow. Jimmy is the man!

Seen BigCountry this evening at Kmart putting a bunch of stuff on layaway, said he would pay it off when that $8500 was in his account! He sounded very sure it was going to pass!

He had lots of Big And Tall clothes in his cart, I'm assuming he was buying Christmas gifts for Jimmy!

Bigc knows a good deal when he sees one. Local 600 will pull it through & take all the jobs.

Wow, yal sound like uneducated teenagers. Who knows what tomorrow will bring? Should of jumped all over this contract, especially with so little to gain, so much to gain. No vote hurts us in the long run.

Maybe, maybe not. We'll see.

I think the same contract comes back with one or two small things tweaked. Nothing major changes though.

Couldn't agree more the media and public will blast the UAW for voting this down. In order to have a successful strike you have to have the public on your side.

You need to understand something. The public is going to hate you no matter what. They have plenty of excuses.

You're paid too much.

You're benefits are too good.

You're bonuses are too great.

Get over it. Voting yes on this contract isn't going to win you popularity points.

The public has never been on an autoworkers side

Maybe 10% of the entire USA workforce is a member of a union.

90% of the entire workforce is NON-union so do not expect any support or accolades.

If you are simply voting "yes" to win favor you are an idiot.

Why an agreement fails is not always about money. There are other long & short term issues that do not cost direct dollars paid out that a thinking person considers while others are short sighted and focused only on money.

Kudos to LAP & KTP.

I hope the Jimmy Settles pep rally has the opposite impact and pisses people off because it should.

If he or any of the IUAW was actively involved thru the year/s in local issues or listened to the rank and file members his sudden emergence from hibernation only to get the national contract passed would appear less self serving. Several locals have been working without local agreements for years and now the appearance of Settles is only because he wants or needs something. Pathetic.
