Betcha they're breathing a collective sigh of relief right about now that the folks at Uber monkeyed with their software. That's correct, the Volvo pedestrian safety system was deactivated in favour of City Safe system used by Uber, it was that system that detected the pedestrian up to six seconds before the crash but failed to react. What concerns me is that Uber is or has deployed 24,000 Volvos with the same system but yeah, that was two years ago so everyone now assumes it was a one off glitch.....
