tjking30
Forgive me if this is posted somewhere. I searched around but I can't seem to find out what happens in the Body Shop Stage. That's where my Mustang is now.
akirby
I'm guessing that's where all the body panels, doors, hood, trunk etc are fitted prior to paint.
fuzzymoomoo
What akirby said. Its a pretty cool process to watch. The robots look like an automated ballet. If you get a minute, go on YouTube and search National Geographic Mustang. It goes into more detail on the Mustang plant. Its the old model (from about 2012) but most of it is still relevant today.
akirby
Is that also where they dip the entire vehicle in anti-corrosion liquid? That's really cool.

akirby
No, thats in paint That makes more sense. Still really cool if they use the robots that turn the bodies to get the coating distributed. I guess some just run the body through upright.
