Order banks for the all-new Rangers opened up shortly thereafter on May 26th, 2023, allowing interested customers to get their names on the list for the Ranger and Ranger Raptor. Now, just over two months since order banks opened, FoMoCo has revealed the most popular order choices among future Ranger owners. As a reminder, the available trim levels for the 2024 Ford Ranger include XL, XLT, Lariat and Raptor. With that in mind, Ford indicated that the top configurations being ordered for the 2024 Ford Ranger include the Ranger XL STX with four-wheel-drive finished in Oxford White, the Ranger XLT Sport 4WD with available tow package in Cactus Gray, and the Ranger Lariat Sport 4WD with the available tow package. Additionally, 40 percent of 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor orders opt for the optional beadlock wheels and graphics, and the top colors for the Ranger Raptor are Shelter Green Metallic and Shadow Black. 2024 Ranger orders are also heavy on 4WD, with 80 percent of customers opting for the more robust four-wheel-drive driveline. Orders are also favoring trailering, as 70 percent have opted for a tow hitch and half have selected Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Trailer Brake Controller to streamline the process of towing and hauling. Meanwhile, 20 percent of 2024 Ford Ranger orders have equipped the optional FX4 Off-Road Package to ready their midsize pickup for tougher terrain. As for motivation, the 2024 Ford Ranger is offered with two powertrain options. The turbocharged Ford 2.3L I4 EcoBoost carries over from the 2023 model year, throwing 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. The second is the optional all-new twin-turbocharged Ford 2.7L V6 EcoBoost, which is capable of 315 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. Both mate exclusively to Ford’s 10-speed automatic transmission. Alas, Ford did not share any take rates for the engines, at least not yet. T-dubz Posted July 31, 2023 Share Posted July 31, 2023 Knowing the number of orders would have been interesting since it had been rumored previously that the numbers were very low. Oxford white XL sounds like fleet/work truck to me.
