  1. My only fear about this is getting charged for aftermarket options at 200-500% markup...shades of $500 vinyl strip jobs I've seen added to low end cars over the years
  2. Glad it is since last season the show dragged out
  3. But Jercho was a much better show then Knight Rider
  4. But the old model had huge incentives on it... Anyone have the avg transaction price of the Fusion?
  5. Um the new Explorer Lets keep in mind that the vast majorty of current Explorer owners don't tow anything anyways
  6. Going back to what I said before, why wouldnt Ford build diesel engines over in the States esp with the costs of them being built in Europe
  7. Ford sales=Crappy As for my attempt at throwing a dart at the wall: 5-10% lower then last year, Focus and Fusion sales up, Mustang, F-150 and Explorer sales down :P
  8. Should be interesting how this one works out....though I do have to say I really like the Flex, but I have zero need for one at the moment http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/arti...03851/1530/FREE
  9. On the other hand, do they even have the capacity to build more engines for the North American market?
  10. I serious doubt that Ford will import anything from Europe now, considering the Pound is nearly $2 and the Euro is nearly $1.50...would be far cheaper to build in North America for North American operations
  11. Why wouldnt it? All the shots you see now of the Flex are production models!
  12. You must only drive 5-10 miles to work each way...with lots of traffic lights...
  13. But also keep in mind that the MKS is bigger (and heavier) then any of those cars listed also... With Egoboost (LOL) I'd bet we'll see right around the same numbers as the naturally aspirated V6 in AWD form
  14. Why would they want to do that when they have Lincoln and to a lesser extent Mercury? Its going to take a decade or two for people to pay "premium" for a Ford...How many people pay 31K for a Loaded Camry? The vast majorty of them are I4...just like the Fusion After reading the PM article I still don't see a real need for a Microcars in the US...who is going to want a tiny car smaller then Fiesta...its too limited in its use for the most part and car makers won't make any money on them either. People bought trucks as second cars because they where useful...I dont think we'll see people flocking to a highly specialized car that its only redeeming feature is good MPG.
  15. Hmm its an word....more less slang: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junque
  16. But break it down even further, that 60 a month breaks down to like 15 bucks a week..I know people who blow that much on coffee, cigarettes or what not with no problem. I look at this way, if $15 bucks a week extra is going to break you, you have to reexamine your prototiries in life. Then add in the effects of getting a new car, esp if the old one is pay off, and your going to be spending ALOT more then that $1200 bucks a year saved in fuel. The only way it would make sense to get a new car is if your spending more then say $500 a month on gas to work...but thats a whole another ball of wax there.
  17. nearly all the Foci I've seen in NJ have had that chrome vent on them...its not that bad :P The car doesn't look bad in person, its starting to grow on me to a point, but I still won't say its excatly a good looking car. Oddly enough, mom really likes the new Focus and shes about as far away from being a car person as you can be. She even went out and got a 08 Focus coupe matchbox car for my 18 month old Nephew to play with for Easter...I had hard time telling it was a 08 Focus at first because it had a widebody fender flares on it...thought it was a BMW at first LOL
  18. New Jersey...its the only thing "cheap" here...I paid 2.99 for regular the other night and I've seen it as low as 2.94 at some gas stations The fueleconomy.gov site lets you modify your driving habits and how much you pay for gas so you can get an accurate estimate of how much money you may or maynot save when getting a new car
  19. WTF are you talking about? http://www.cnbc.com/id/22637088
  20. In all seriousness, if you compare the Fusion V6 vs the Focus, the difference in gas is only about $60 bucks a month using the Fueleconomy.gov website ratings...you not going to see a huge difference in how much you spend on gas. Using myself as an example, since gas has gone up from say 2.50-2.75 to almost 3 bucks a gallon, my total bill has only gone up about 5-7 dollars a tankful (filling at 1/4 or so)
  21. Didn't some personnel from Ford go over to Chrysler also? is this one of them?
