All I can see in that picture are the A pillars. they look gigantic.

Why do you need EB in a hybrid. Don't you have the electric engine supplying the low end torque. Seems like all you would need would be the 1.L without EB.

You know, I used to think this way. But if Lincoln had brought out same luxury cars that Hyundai has they would sell a ton of them. If they can bring out one or two great cars and keep building on them they can be respectable. It takes time and determination. I hope they have both.

I think its CVT related. I have a Freestyle with the CVT and it "lunged" once or twice.

an old saying comes to mind. " that car is so fast it passes everything but gas stations" .

I'm 6'3 and 250lbs, size 12 shoe and I fit fine in my Freestyle. I don't even have the seat back all the way. I do tilt it back as far it goes so the front of the seat is as high as possible. From that position my left leg hits the dead petal perfectly. I do sometimes put my foot flat on the floor and there is enough room for me. Love the "command seating" position.

I thought GM didn't owe any taxes due to some special deal with the gov't when they went through Bk.

They don't have to be engineered in Europe to be quality products, but that doesn't mean European products are crap either. I think they are using whatever is best moving forward. Whether from a technical or manufacturing viewpoint .

Next time I go I will try to play around with the seat adjustment a bit more. The only adjustment I could find was fore and aft and it was manual.

I took my car in for service and they had two Foci on the lot, a sedan and a hatch. The exterior looked nice, interior was nice too, but the windshield sloped too much for me. I felt like my head was jammed up in the headliner. I'm 6'3 so I am kind of used to no head room but I had a hard time looking out of the side windows. I was thinking about getting one of these this year or next but it not now, too much form over function for me.

Richard are you a Ford engineer? Because you sure talk like you must have designed every Ford ever made. I thought you were a web designer. Obviously Institutional Knowledge must not matter too much. :blah: :shrug:

This maybe true. But the interior size of Explorer is WAY smaller than those minivans. Not even close.

When is the next version of Mustang coming?

I really like the nose on that rendering, looks mean. I also liked that Lincoln concept when it first came out. Looks dated now though.

That's about the perfect size.
