  2. I may be mistaken, but I don't ever remember the Tracer being officially announced for the NY Auto Show. People here were speculating it, but that's as far as it went. It doesn't come out until next year anyway, so it made little sense for it to be at New York.
  3. IMO, soon to be one of the best looking SUVs on the market. Chrysler did a great job on this one. It's good to see them finally hit the mark on something.
  4. A girl I knew in college had a 2003 Corolla. It opened my eyes to how overrated Toyota actually was.
  5. "Yes is More" by the Bjarke Ingels Group. Great book if you're into innovative architecture and design. http://archidose.blogspot.com/2009/05/book-review-yes-is-more.html
  6. They can howl away, but it won't be the first time a GSX badge has adorned a Regal. These cars are actually quite the sleepers too.
  7. I saw the Regal GS in person at the Chicago Auto Show and it was pretty hot. They need to make a GSX version with a turbocharged V6.
  8. I don't think stale is the right word. A combination of the economy and the SRX cannibalizing some sales is more likely the culprit. The CTS is still an excellent vehicle that seems to be aging gracefully.
  9. P is a moron. Someone needs to ban him from the internet.

  11. Part of what I really like about my LS is its "lower, wider, longer" stance. It's more athletic. I don't really mind the beltlines on the Taurus and Five Hundred, but I can barely tolerate it on the MKS and can't stand it on the LaCrosse. What makes the LaCrosse even worse is that the hood is also about a mile high. It looks like an overgrown compact from certain angles.
  12. Wow! Excellent work! How have I not come across this until now? Too bad Ford would never be able to make a business case for all those coupes, but it's nice to dream. I would love to see that T-bird and Town Car go into production.
  13. On the Cougar, I really like everything except the front...it just seems too retro. The Cougar needs to have a modern front fascia to set it apart from the more retro Mustang. The back is great...it still seems "Cougar-ish" but modern at the same time. I'm not feeling the doubled-up headlights on any of them. It makes me think of the Family Truckster. For the Capri, its a very curvy body yet your grille is very squared off. I would try to make it more aerodynamic-looking.
  14. It reminds me of a microcar '49 Ford. Very nice.
  15. I don't see anything wrong with it, and I'm in design myself. Styling is subjective.
  16. Opinion. What does asking how many served or how many love their country have to do with their political ideology? There are a lot more questions in there than what I posted. It seems to me to be a pretty dry demographic survey of the tea party. Just because you don't like the results doesn't mean the NYT is making up the statistics.
  17. http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2010/04/14/us/politics/20100414-tea-party-poll-graphic.html 84% of the tea partiers believe their views reflect those of most Americans, but only 25% of all Americans agree 18% of Americans say they are tea party supporters. 66% of tea party supporters say they usually or always vote Republican. (Just 5% vote Democratic.) 73% say they are conservative. 41% believe Barack Obama was born in the United States. While 65% believe the Obama Administration treats blacks and whites equally, 56% believe it favors poor people over the middle-class and rich. 89% are white and 52% believe too much attention is paid to the problems facing African-Americans. 59% have a favorable view of Glenn Beck compared to 6% who view him unfavorably. (Among all Americans, the numbers are 18% and 17%.) 63% say they get most of their political news from Fox News Channel. 66% have a favorable view of Sarah Palin, compared to 12% who view her unfavorably. (Among all Americans, the numbers are 30% and 45%.) 24% believe citizens can be justified in taking violent action against the government. 52% believe the federal income taxes they pay are fair.
  18. You make some valid points. However, the difference between Rush and me is that I am not dispensing news to a large audience of people. I'm not being paid $400 million to convince others that my opinion is fact. So you are saying that Rush is all about maintaining ratings?
  19. So you admit that Rush Limbaugh is conservative sensationalism?
  20. With the way people are acting lately, buying some shares in Alcoa might not be such a bad idea.
  21. Sorry to burst your bubble, the 2007 study says that those who listen to the Daily Show and Stephen Colbert and read major newspaper websites are the most informed, while network morning shows, local TV, and Fox News viewers are the least informed. http://people-press.org/report/319/public-knowledge-of-current-affairs-little-changed-by-news-and-information-revolutions Not convincing enough? The 2008 report shows New Yorker Magazine, NPR, and Hardball listeners are at the top. http://people-press.org/report/?pageid=1356
