Lincoln Dealers Grappling with High Inventory Levels
tbone replied to joseodiaga4's topic in Lincoln Motor Company Discussion
Same here. Makes no sense. The dealer said they have had long lead times to get anything. I don’t understand it. It is a standalone Lincoln dealership, which is paired with Volvo and Mazda. -
2024 Nautilus -- Feedback for Ford/Lincoln Management
tbone replied to jcwCT's topic in Lincoln Motor Company Discussion
I understand. I’m hoping the Chinese production is a stopgap measure until they can prepare a NA production location. Time will tell I suppose. -
2024 Lincoln Aviator Refresh Spied Without Camo
tbone replied to joseodiaga4's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
Yes, this is very frustrating, and in my opinion, it doesn’t make very good business sense. It’s very disappointing that they have prioritize the Chinese market over our own market and a number of models. -
2025 Ford Expedition Interior Spotted
tbone replied to joseodiaga4's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
I understand the apprehension of having similarities between the Nav and Expy, but I have felt that using the F150 interior on the Expy was a hinderance to sales. If I care to guess, most drivers of full size SUVs are woman and I would anticipate the Tahoe interior has been more appealing to women. Regarding the coast to coast screen, the Chinese Explorer has a version, and as does the Nautilus. Obviously these are not the same model but they reflect different executions of it. The Explorer screen terminates early and looks blockier while the Nautilus flows cleanly into the doors. I think there’s room for Ford products to have it while not affecting the Lincoln models. Rivian styling is decent, but I’m starting to get tired of the front end styling even though it hasn’t really been out that long.

Ford Sales February 2024 - Up 10.5% Overall
tbone replied to rmc523's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
I posted this in the Ranger forum but didn’t get any feedback so I’ll post it here as well. 2024 Ford Ranger Production Increased, But None Were Sold: https://fordauthority.com/2024/03/2024-ford-ranger-production-increased-but-none-were-sold/amp/ I find this situation to be odd. This truck was supposed to go on sale last summer. As mentioned they had the strike and all, but they should have been ready to ramp up production after it was resolved, but something still seems to be wrong. Fuzzy, can you provide any insight on this? -

Perhaps the dealers are stocking up because they need a reasonably priced vehicle to sell, and recognize there’s going to be a hole in the lineup soon. -

I just don’t see how you can define a $38,000+ vehicle as a commodity. I feel like you haven’t done something right as manufacture if your vehicle is a commodity at that price point. If this is truly his view, I think that’s pretty ridiculous position to take that I just cannot wrap my mind around. -

I also think they have gotten carried away with pricing, which has impacted sales. -

Looking for South Florida Gen 3 Raptor Owner to test ride-quality
tbone replied to xler8r's topic in F150 & Raptor Forum
I have had ADD aftermarket bumpers on all but one of my Raptors, which are very good quality. Although I have not opted for a winch option they do have that option available for their bumpers. -
Looking for South Florida Gen 3 Raptor Owner to test ride-quality
tbone replied to xler8r's topic in F150 & Raptor Forum
I can’t help you with the test drive because I don’t live close to you, but I can give you some perspective. I have driven trucks all my life, either 1/2 or 3/4 tons. Since 2011 I have had multiple Raptors, however I ordered an 22 F250 to change things up. It came in and my wife hated riding in it. I had intended to put a lift on it anyway, with the intention of softening the ride but the shop told me that even with a Carli lift it’s not going to compare to a Raptor, which I appreciated their honesty. Two weeks after getting the F250 I ordered another Raptor. I have a 7,000lb GVWR trailer I tow with the Raptor and it squats the rear end, but it handles the load sufficiently for how often I use it. Just order the Raptor, you won’t be disappointed. I have not driven or ridden in a truck that rides or drives better than it, and it doesn’t hurt that they look great. -

Yes, if you liked opinions routinely presented as fact.
