    The fact that you think references to business cases and opportunity cost to explain why decisions are made or not made about which vehicles to produce and how is irrelevant makes you totally irrelevant and ignorant. What YOU think sells cars (image, high performance, comparison wins, social media requests) is NOT what sells cars as evidenced by the best selling luxury vehicles (ES, RX, Caddy SRX, etc. etc.) which we've pointed out repeatedly and which you continue to ignore. You don't need access to internal documents to see what sells and what doesn't.

    You can't use sealant on plastic - it's only for painted surfaces. Just use a good interior cleaner/low gloss protectant.

    I could be biased but for me there are only 3 colors for the Fusion: Ruby Red, Grey and Wrong.

    It's usually not done on purpose. Ford has allowed this in the past. The most logical explanation is that it was left out of the software accidentally or for some other reason.

    Doesn't happen with Fords. If you get out of the car with the only fob it immediately honks the horn twice and puts a message up saying no keyfob is in range. If you ignore that and keep driving it will remain running and fully functional. When you stop the vehicle it gives you another warning message that the keyfob is missing and that you have 20 seconds to restart it. I agree about not butchering the car wiring. Just not worth it.

    Go compare the MKZs 2.0L EB power with Audi's 2.0 turbo A6 and Jaguars 2.0 turbo XF and let us know what you find.

    It baffles you because you know nothing about making business decisions. Is Audi or MB or BMW trying to rebuild their brand from the ground up? Or do they already have very successful mainstream (higher volume) entries in other larger segments? If Audi did not have the A4/A6/A8 sedans and crossovers do you think they'd go out and build the S5 first? Of course not. Nobody is saying that Lincoln should NEVER do one - only that it would be wasted money to do it now when they don't have competitive entries in most of the other segments. It's simply a matter of priority. Do you at least agree that there is a bigger market and therefore more profit potential and more volume in small and midsized sedans and crossovers?

    The differentiation worked in that nobody compared it to the Flex. The lack of success was simply due to a poorly executed design in a very small market.

    Required by who? Not in the U.S. I covered this already in one of the other threads. This used to be possible on older vehicles (turning on DRLs) but for some reason the U.S. dealers no longer have that option on the newer vehicles.

    I assume that was a typo and you meant to say X plan. Z plan is for retired employees and is 4% less than dealer invoice - significantly cheaper than X plan. If you meant X plan then yes you can do better with a military rebate if your dealer is selling close to invoice.

    my guess is the ones that work are ok for life but they had too many that were DOA. I don't expect any long term probems from mine since it works perfectly now.

    The Mondeo is a premium vehicle in Europe therefore it gets more of the MKZ features to go along with the high price tag and there is no Lincoln brand to compete with. It's that simple.

    19" H spokes are about $550 each from the dealer.

    At least they won't have to worry about competition from other in-house brands or those same brands siphoning off capital (including Lincoln). Ford is either all-in for Lincoln or they'll kill it. They certainly won't starve it.
