  1. Whatever!!! I used to be a big NASCAR fan back in the early 70's through the early 90's. It is now beyond rediculous. I wish it would just go away and at the very least I wish Ford would pull out entirely. It's become an embarassment. I haven't watched it for years and I would love to see the domestic manufacturer's go somewhere else with their money.
  2. I completely agree with you, I hate the "Command Seating". I love the seating in my 03 LS and wish the Taurus was more like that.
  3. Exactly; and GM's options were (are)??????????????????????????????????
  4. When can we expect the 10 MY to be available for shipping for the Escape. I tried to talk the wifey into the Edge but she's really fixed on the Escape. Nothing but Ford for this family. Her sister is coming in from Phoenix in mid October and she wants a new vehicle for the "show off" factor (besides her 96 Taurus wagon is due to be replaced and has been an excellent vehicle) and asked me if we would be able to order and have one delivered by then. Plus she has never bought a brand new vehicle and I really want to her to experience that at least once in her life. Also does anybody know if there will be any notable color option changes by then. She really likes the Sage Green or Silver as a second option. I visit this sight daily and I just haven't seen any mention of the Escape as far as the 10 MY although I'm sure something has been posted that I simply overlooked. Stent
  5. Same place it was in the media with any Ford issues leading to recalls in the past. One would have to come here to BON for the justification for those. For those looking for an explanation of yoda's short-comings one would probably have to visist a Toyota Forum. I myself don't care as I enjoy watching the unraveling of this juggernaut. Do what I'm doing---sit back and enjoy the show!
  6. Ahh, where do I begin with the LS? I bought a used 2000 that later proved to be a rebuild from a near total but I loved the car's ride. I got rid of it because it had tons of issues so like a fool I bought a brand new 03 LS. I still have this car and it has caused me no problems aside from regular maintenance. My problem with the car is that my wife won't let me get a fiesta or new focus, fusion, MKZ, or anything else I want untill this thing needs replaced. It shows no signs of dying and I bet I have this car another 4 or 5 years. I love this car and I told a working coleague just the other day that I always look forward to driving this car. This is the best car I've ever bought and I've been true-blue Ford since 89' Our most recent purchase was an 07 Black/Red Shelby GT500 but I love my LS V8. No door dings, 56000 miles, paid off, and no problems. My wife gets the next new one and she won't sway from an Edge even after I showed her the new Taurus, which she liked. Stent
  7. Admittedly my blood runs true blue and Ford is all that's been in my drive since 1989! 89 - Mustang GT 93 - F-150 03 - Lincoln LS 07 - Shelby GT500
  8. Spot on! I was amazed after 9/11 at all the Jap Crap driving around with American flags proudly waving in the wind, but not this daft American. I have bought only Fords since 1989 after switching from GM cars. Ford is all I have bought since and we currently have 4 between my wife and myself. I will NEVER by Jap or any other Asian vehicles, NEVER.
  9. Congrats big time on the new ride! I still have an 03 LS in vivid red and absolutely love the car. The wife wants an Edge bad but we want to finish paying off the LS and keep it too. I have never had a car that I love to drive more than our LS and we even have a GT500 (07), but nothing compares. still, big time congratulations on your new car, I'd own one in a second...
  10. Pardon me for not knowing the VAT acronym but I can tell you I will never buy an Asian car and can't see me buying European either, why? Our idea of free and fair trad has never been free or FAIR. It's the last place I can support American workers. I am not employed by the auto industry nor is any member of my family. Plus, I'm not against protectionism as long as foriegn companys continue to play ball like this. I know the arguments that we allow it to happen (the unfair trading) and therefore I look at me buying American (Ford Products) soley as a grassroots movement. I don't care if the car I buy is made in Mexico either, at least it's an American company. Before the flaming starts, I've not yet bought a Ford that wasn't built almost entirely here in America. I might feel different if I bought a Ford that i thought was a piece of crap and felt like I really got burned but I've been very satisifed. To all the Ford emploees here---keep up the good work. The Lincoln LS will be paid off in a year and the wife once an Edge bad. I have a Shelby GT500 and a 93 F-250 and she currently drive a 96 Taurus wagon.
  11. I couldn't agree with you more....Well put!
  12. Good point Another way we're getting the old ram-rod thrown to us.
  13. I agree it will do wonders for the economy. This whole oil game has played havic to the economy and it's just a game. A game of fear and intimidation. We (the U.S.) capped perfectly fine oil wells starting in the late 70's and we're playing the game of "hey let's use the the rest of the worlds oil first" and it's nothing more than greed. Greed of the U.S. oil companies and the wonderful world of capitalism taking money from our pockets and putting it in theirs and all in the name of fear. The reality is that this will wreck our economy as the focus continues to shift to Asia as they become the worlds consumers replacing the good ole U.S. of A. We will look like old Europe within our life time.
  14. I guess I'm just old fasioned at the ripe old age of 45 but I'll never buy asian when it comes to vehicles. I have no intention to buy European either and don't see it happening. I've never felt like I bought a piece of $hit buying Ford, if I did, I might feel different. I did feel that way buying GM years ago (coming froma a staunch GM family) which is why I buy Fords today. I live in Indiana and a guy I work with bought a Tundra and bragged about it helping Indiana as it was made here. I told him I didn't care if yota brought a crew of 50 assemblers up to my house and built it in my garage I wouldn't buy one. My truck is a 93 F-250 and when it finally dies I'll buy whatever the next generation of F-250 is available then. Of course it will have to wait until the Shelby GT500 is paid for. Proudly I state "My Blood Runs True Blue". By-the-way, my Lincoln LS is over 4 years old and I truly love it and I look forward to driving it everytime I get in it. Stent
