  1. I see......that's right, I remember reading about that now.
  2. In today's world, and under Mulally, I don't think this will happen but.......theres a thought in the back of my mind that hopes that CUVs aren't the next SUV craze. And by that I don't mean that I don't want the segment to grow and for Ford to be successful in it, I mean I hope all of Ford's efforts don't go into CUVs like what happened with the SUVs in the 90s, thus having the cars neglected. However, with CUVs being based on car architecture, I'd guess that automatically mean you'd wanna have a good car to begin with that would underpin your CUV, so I guess the 90s problem is less likely today.
  3. We were discussing that in another Edge Sport thread, (you know one of the other 20). The articles I've read have NOT mentioned anything about the smoked/black chrome grille. Also, from pictures, it does not appear to have this. I think it'd be a nice option, but I like how it looks with regular chrome......the grille now pops out more. From the pictures here.... http://jalopnik.com/352578/2009-ford-edge-sport , the grille appears to be normal chrome.
  4. I believe that's the main reason for the SD's headlight positioning. I do, however like the way the truck looks, so I don't mind the headlights.
  5. Next fall unfortunately.
  6. Same. The article said that it looked lower than a normal F-150, it looked higher to me.
  7. The end of Ford is near!! :devil2:

    Edge Sport Pic

Maybe we'll see black chrome as an option or something. I agree that the blackout lights make the grille look better, it makes it stand out more as well. Curious, where are you from Critic, it's not the US, because you spelled tires tyres.
  9. I already suggested this several times....in the Rumors/Concepts and Photochops sections: I'll post both for comparison. My chop was done before the redo, so it's not 'up to date' but still looks good.
  10. I know you may not really care, but what then happens to S. Africa's production lines?
  11. I remembered today that Edges are already being sold to rental companies, so residuals are already slightly skewed. I see.
  12. Well there's 700,000+ people that have access to a new Ford truck from last year, so..... I don't think there's an abundance of centrifuges though....
  13. Edge is already available for 2008 with Light Ice Blue and Dark Ink Blue. However, this seems like it's right between those two, and IMO looks very good.
  14. I thought that too when I saw those spy pics.....looks a lot like Fusion.
  15. I noticed that too. I highly agree. I actually think I might take the Hyundai over this.
  16. As I've said many times, I don't know who is in charge of Honda/Acura styling lately, but they should be fired. I like the current RL's looks. This thing is hideous.
  17. .....and the Subaru Tribeca rear: http://www.leftlanenews.com/wp-content/plu...idg=1&idi=4
  18. Enclave or Acadia are my personal preferences.
  19. For the Super Duties? I haven't seen one before....interesting.
  20. I see. I believe that once JLR is gone, that will free up some much needed cash to fund Lincoln, Volvo, and eventually Mercury's expansions. (and Ford of course) A revitalized product lineup could easily make Mercury relevant again.....even Buick seems to be doing well. I just had an idea, what if Ford shipped Mercuries AND Lincolns to China whenever that happens......Mercury could continue to be the rung below Lincoln, but it could offer similar features and different styling....the Chinese seem to like Buick, so it could work.
