  1. That guy is comparing Ford's current situation to something Audi recovered/is recovering from that happened in the 80s. He's saying how great Audi is now, so if he's saying that, then he must be implying that he thinks Ford will be doing well down the road. I hope that made sense.
  2. That's where the '09/'10 model comes in. This thread is talking about the model after that one, unless you're talking about taking Porsche 911 approach to future Mustangs.
  3. I believe it's just a computer rendering.
  4. I wasn't and still am not a big fan of the Giugiaro Mustang's rear end. i think most of that may be the awkward taillights though.
  5. When I visited the ArtCenter in Pasadena this past summer, they said I should try to make my designs look more futuristic. I politely said ok (etc.), but in my mind I was thinking, I dont like all that 'futuristic' stuff. I like a simple and classy look, not some outlandish/outrageous thing. Like you said, I want somebody to look at something and say that looks nice, like you said.
  6. I don't really like that chop either. I really hope the hood doesn't look like that either. I agree with you about the foglamps. They look good on the current model, but I don't think they'd carry over well to a more 'flowing/fluid' design. I also agree with you about the GT500's slanted look. I also think the GT500KR makes that look even better.
  7. That "Boss 777" sounds pretty impressive. Is it true? This is the first I've heard of it.
  8. I agree with you about the 99-04 models, I like them better than the 94-98 models.
  9. From pictures I've seen, it appears the seats are different than the original RX-8's seats.
  10. I agree, I still think it's a good looking vehicle.
  11. That is interesting. Maybe instead of drawing in the sand, he'll draw a line on a car in it's paint? (key it)
  12. I agree, the car looked pretty good.
  13. Well, it wouldn't be "Mark" anything, since Lincoln has stated the names are pronounced em-kay-___, so in this case it'd be em-kay-tee. LOL The "T" could stand for "truck", but that wouldn't make sense since it's not a truck, its not based on a truck, doesn't drive like a truck, etc..... maybe "transport"?
  14. While I do think the new 6 looks good, the more I look at it, the more something about it doesn't look right. I'm not sure what it is, but there's something..... It could just be me, but that's my opinion.
  15. I may be wrong here, but hasn't (at least over the past several years) Chicago been Mercury's 'place' to debut products, with NY being Lincoln's 'place' to debut their products?
  16. I too have been looking forward to it's debut since it was 'announced'. (or at least since we've known about it)
  17. Flex was not at NAIAS last year, I was there. Last year had the Interceptor, MKR and Airstream. It also had the new 2008 Five Hundred (yes, it was still 'Five Hundred' at the show) and the new Super Duty was there as well.
  18. I thought the 'one year gap' meant actual sale times of the vehicles.
  19. That's basically what it was. It was a stop-gap measure to hold the US market over (so the old Focus didn't have to continue to limp along) until the new C2? model arrives in 2010. Besides, the Focus probably should've gotten a more thorough MCE in 05 anyways.
