  1. MKC engine info available on the last page of this document: ftp://ftp.nhtsa.dot.gov/mfrmail/ORG8996.pdf Looks like 2.0 and 2.4 L fours will be the only choices. 200 and 240 hp respectively.
  2. If such a thing is possible I've lost even more trust in the EPA MPG testing process. Why not just have an independent third party actually drive the vehicles out on a real road. Of course the new number for the C-Max is still off. They're saying 43 combined, but most of the mags/blogs got about 38. Same is true for the Fusion. When are thy going to downgrade it's MPG rating?
  3. I stand corrected, that is the MKC. It matches this mule almost exactly: http://www.caranddriver.com/news/2014-lincoln-mkc-spy-photos-news
  4. Here's another view of that same group of cars: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=768 We see the "Edge" again 3rd photo down. I'm pretty convinced its the Edge and not the MKC but I can't be sure.
  5. So build your luxury brand by going downmarket. That should work.
  6. I think they're keeping the 1.6 in the Fusion so they can keep a manual transmission option. I don't know if they've even engineered a 1.5/Manual combo. If they have, they'd still have to spend $$ to get it US certified.
  7. I hope they can work on the customer service aspect too. Not delivering the car is bad enough, but when they can't tell you where it is, why it is where it is, or when it might arrive that makes it a whole lot worse. Ford needs to work with its shipping partners to make sure they are providing the best quality service and that they are empowered and encouraged to give timely, accurate, and complete information.
  8. I was thinking of this as a back-to-basics car, but now that you mention it it could almost work as a Lincoln. Thinking about it a little more, though, I see exactly what it is... a MERCURY.
  9. I actually put this question to a Ford engineer on Autoline After Hours. Clip here: He says they are sticking with it. Personally, I think it will continue through the current Focus and Fiesta model cycles but then be replaced with a 9-speed or something like that when those cars are redesigned.
  10. Just curious. If it's so close to launch how come we haven't seen spy photos of mules running around?
  11. Fascinating stuff, lots of design proposals: http://www.aronline.co.uk/blogs/cars/ford/mondeo/the-cars-ford-mondeo/ I've seen a lot of stories like this over the years and I find that usually the car design process is one of turning an exciting initial proposal into a blander but more producible design. With the MK1 Mondeo, though, it seems to go the other way. The production design was actually more advanced than the early proposals.
  12. Loads of them here in the DC area. My dealer had more than I could count, many of them were hybrids.
  13. Staring to arrive on the east coast. I spotted this example at a dealership in Alexandria, VA. It's a V6 with the normal sunroof and the price is $45,995. It has all the tech stuff on it. http://www.inventory.ford.com/services/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin=3LN6L2GK9DR802200 Also, the dealer had plenty of Fusions, so I'd say is whatever is going on in Hermosillo and Flat Rock is working itself out.
  14. Could be a previously unseen trim level or package, or even just an upgrade of MyFordTouch.
