  1. I think it is a challenge of the market in general. Not only does Ford have to find what the BEV take rate will be, COVID and supply restrictions are forcing changes too. I would not want to be a product and supplier strategist right now.
  2. Maybe this vehicle explains this Trademark with the USPTO a couple months ago: https://tmsearch.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=4802:r96gh4.2.26
  3. For those wondering why Lincoln is still around... Chinese sales totals for 2021 were 91,621 units. A gain of 48% over 2020. ? You will likely see sales over 100k units in 2022 thanks to the Zephyr and full year local production of the Nautilus and Aviator, which launched local production mid-2021.
  4. Here is the new JMC cabover from those spy shots a few weeks ago: http://www.360che.com/tech/220107/168709.html
  5. That and "Mondeo". Definitely not NA spec.
  6. Challenger does not really sell outside of North America. Mustang ships to like 100 countries.
  7. There was suppose to be a 3 row crossover to replace the Grand C-Max, but seemed to have stalled. Maybe this is finally it. The rear undercarriage does not appear to be similar to the Maverick or Bronco Sport, but more in line with the Escape.
  8. Interesting stock news that could occur by the end of the year: Ford's market cap - $83.12 billion GM's market cap - $83.38 billion
  9. JMC sold its Heavy duty line, not its light and medium duty line. Volvo Trucks renamed that line as well, so any "JMC" branded products you see are from JMC-Ford.
  10. JMC is testing a new cab over in China: http://www.360che.com/tech/211222/168290.html
  11. Back in the day, some Ford cabs were outsourced and also used by other companies. Ford C-Series cab was also used by Mack and in the UK, the Thames Trader cab was also used by Leyland. So, a long common practice to share or keep costs low by another means for these lower volume trucks.
  12. I think they should switch over one of the lines at Valencia to built it as well.
  13. I love that green... Hopefully it makes it to the next Ranger as well.
  14. The 200,000+ units is from Mexico alone. It doesn't include China production. That's the huge thing. Ford could see 300,000 Mach-E sales per year. That would be huge. Also worth noting that the Mexican plant NEVER saw these volumes with the Fiesta.
  15. Middle Eastern market is very similar to the US in the size and type of vehicles that sell due to "cheap" fuel prices. However, they tend to have less content. Whereas a Land Cruiser is a luxury vehicle in the US, a Middle Eastern Land Cruiser is like a normal Tahoe there.
  16. And they can sell a couple hundred a month in many other Latin American nations per month.
  17. Especially when you add the extra 15,000 from other markets to it.
  18. Lincoln does need a crossover a size under the Corsair. Mariner would be a perfect name.
  19. Lincoln's Chinese sales this year will easily overtop their US sales. Will likely be more than every other market outside China combined.
  20. Worth noting, the "RANGER" is now stamped into the tailgate of the global Ranger instead of the decals.
  21. Is there room to build what amounts to a third plant at KCAP? I bet there is room at Rouge considering how much land Ford has there.
  22. Amarok sales in South America were very poor from the beginning.
