Note sure if we are getting this version of the Explorer facelift, but here we go. The look in China:

One thing for sure: NA needs that interior!

Remember there were Continental Mark III, IV, and Mark V from 1957-59. They were reused.
Since those were concepts, it only makes sense to go back to Mark IX.
I'll have to say it again...if the Mark series is reborn, it will not big a personal luxury coupe. It will be a 4 door SUV coupe.
Why? The 4 door SUV coupe is the personal luxury coupe of today.
Same goes for Thunderbird.
Don't read anything into them still cleaning it as global only. Ford denied the Maverick name up until a couple days prior to the reveal, even though everyone knew it was to be named Maverick for a year.
And politicians did not drive the conversion from horses to cars to begin with? By saying banning horses in cities like NYC and others did? Or pumping trillions in the highway systems?
Or subsidizing the railroad industry before that?
Or subsidizing the canal industry before that?
Let's stop acting like every major advancement in US transportation was purely market based, because history says otherwise.
This guy also thinks he can juggle Peugeot, Citreon, Opel/Vauxhall, DS, Fiat, Abarth, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram without any issues...
I doubt Ford could make a large enough profit margin on the Maverick in Louisville.
Bronco Sport on the other hand...
Then use the extra space for the Maverick.
True, maybe they took their time given it was the first conversion.
I do not think that Ford would be interested in doing in a half ICE/half EV plant. If they are going to do it, they will convert the whole way.
