  1. SVT_MAN...sorry to hear your "tale of woe" about your Fusion...I have a 2006 Fusion SE....The driver door handle broke on me...I fixed it myself for $25 dollars with Ford OE parts, my brakes held on until about 60K miles. When I bought my car, I insisted on the side air bags and anti-lock brakes and had the dealer find me one with them. As I roll up to 100K miles, my Fusion has been very reliable in every measure of the word.
  2. Why import it from Australia when you can build it next to the Camaro in Oshawa Ontario.
  3. Because your average Mustang owner could give a shit less about rear seat / storage space
  4. Atlantis Green was waaaay too dark in my opinion....they would do better if they re-introduced the "Glow" series of colors....Ivory, Ivy, Ginger, and Blue...My brother had a new 1973 Gran Torino Sport in Ivy Glow with the laser stripe and I always liked that color, as well as the Ginger Glow color on my Dads' 1972 and 1974 LTDs.......very sharp colors.

  6. Has anyone seen or heard of anyone taking the independent rearend out and replacing it with a solid rear axle unit in a Camaro? Talk about your reverse engineering jobs.... :shades:
  7. And where are the keys to the lock box? Do you carry an extra key to that??
  8. As I have said before Mercury would never have had the plug pulled unless the Ford Family decided it was the right thing to do...instead of seeing it continue to wither and die, to honor Edsels' legacy, better to bring it off the market instead of it being a drain on the rest of the FoMoCo remaining marquees....I am sure ole Edsel himself would have agreed. After all and above all else, Edsel was a shrewd businessman...his only failing was the long shadow of Henry. The good ship Ford has been "righted"....Edsel would have wanted that above all else.
  9. MY 2006 Fusion has the "all in one" fob.....pretty slick until I had the factory accessory remote start installed at my dealership.....got me a second fob for that feature....grrrr
  10. Seriously?? Keep your fingers crossed and hopefully, Ford will roll out with a retro Model "T" and possibly install a flathead V8 for the performance hawks on here...that should make it far superior to the Camaro based on your specs...
  11. Link Interesting human interest story and quite a testament to the combination of quality and proper care....
  12. No offense T'Cal, but heritage and fond memories my ass....if it is cheaper, it will sell to fleet....that is the only motivator.
  13. Here is another prediction... Fleet sales will go on as planned, then after the vehicle has done its "fleet duty", waiting buyers (aka cheapskates) will snap them up at bargain basement prices and proclaim the car as the best vehicle ever produced and begin trolling various internet enthusiast boards demanding that everyone must support this vehicle or they will begin to flame anyone that disagrees with them....
  14. Ahhh....patience, <cough-cough> Kahdir?? is that you?? maybe they will take the Camaro in trade??
  15. Put a "high value" V6 like the one found under the hood of the V6 Camaro and you might just be onto something here....not everyone clamors for a V8, but there is a certain amount of noise for a large rear drive sedan that gets reasonable mileage and offers some pep.....not every buyer is looking to run laps around Nürburgring... :shades:
  16. It would be a MK 9, since the last one was a MK 8....
  17. You could always check to see if one of those cheesy carpeted dash pads are available....that should help
  18. They would do better by putting a '56 F100 retro style on Panther instead of Ranger...Panther is ten times more truck than Ranger....
  19. If Fiat wanted to, the Fiat Grand Punto 5 door would seem a natural fit for an updated PT Cruiser PT Cruiser Grande Punto 5 door
  20. PT Cruiser could have been updated with revised styling and moved to one of the many Fiat chassis currently in production....I don't understand why Chrysler/Fiat doesn't do just that....it is an iconic brand even though it hasn't been on the market as long as say...the Mustang.
