  1. In related news, mlhm5 was last seen drinking heavily and smashing his keyboard while screaming profanities .....
  2. ..guess they ran out of money when it came time to put it on a display stand and just went with the ole "Home Depot" look... They could have at least painted the plywood.... :shades:
  3. Borg...A.) how many choices did they have in the Crown Victoria, and B.) the cops don't give a crap about it, the bean counters at city hall do.
  4. The Police Interceptor Utility (do not call it Explorer...it is not badged that way) will garner some good sales from municipalities due to it's rugged construction and <ahem> utility for the various functions of a modern police force. "at least 280 HP" is plenty for todays' patrol vehicles that have a modern communications system that is always faster than the fastest cars on the planet. You will see some Police Interceptor sedans with EcoBoost for outright top speed highway performances, but the vast majority of both the Sedan and Utility PI will be front drive, followed by naturally aspirated all wheel drive. I can see, in NYS at least, the State Trooper Thruway fleet being mostly Ecoboost sedans, while the rest of the line being Utility PI.
  5. ...and the type of snow tires you put on it for the winter months. :yup:
  6. Oh....god.....no......not another "why-oh-why-did-they-kill-my-favorite-car" post......
  7. And for the 80% of the average shoppers for Focus....that will be plenty....
  8. since day 45... ...or 2 days ago.... See your own posting above sir... I will fix my posting about misleading Loman Ford....I meant to say how you mislead us.... , sure, advice from your attorney that you retained at day 45 or 2 days ago?? Guy...I am just going to let you hang yourself on your words here....you are a proven author of subterfuge and a known flip-flopper....your own statements prove it...enjoy your "truck" dude.. :shades: . (in case anyone was wondering) sub·ter·fuge Noun Synonyms: noun: evasion, ruse, trick, dodge, artifice subterfuges plural Deceit used in order to achieve one's goal A statement or action resorted to in order to deceive From Google dictionary
  9. Well....I for one am glad you contacted an attorney...I was right all along and you just vindicated me and my position...the only reason I (and others) thought you didn't have a lawyer was simply because you stated you didn't hire one. From here, if your attorney is successful in convincing Ford to take back the truck, you have many options including buying a new Ford with the in-house Power Stroke, or buying a competing brand from GM or Dodge or even entering the medium market and looking at offerings from Freightliner, Navistar, or even Hino and Nissan UD....the choices are yours. If they repair your Power Stroke and offer to extend the warranty to give you peace of mind, consider that as well....oh hell, just come right out and ask them for it, they might just do it to keep you happy.... And, since you are now documented as a misleading poster......I can say, "Told ya so...." PS: If your story is even true since I did call Loman Ford and asked about "your truck" they wouldn't give out information over the phone to anyone other than the owner or Ford Motor Company reps, and since I told them I was neither, they advised me that they couldn't speak to me about any vehicles unless it was mine....unlike you, I did not try to intentionally mislead anyone. As for your lame jab at the union, I would not even quantify that with a response other than :slap:
  10. Bu, bu, bu, bu, bu....it is German engineering at it's finest....WAIT!!! I know....lets put a diesel in it, no!... a turbo diesel, no! a twin turbo diesel. Gawd....get MLHM5 on a plane to the Dresden plant ASAP!! Volkswagen needs his keen insight to the US market....
  11. Here is an interesting idea....the Windstar is an older, dated design. By offering a recall, it gets these potential customers into the dealership and instead of getting it fixed....they might just trade her in on a new vehicle. If only 10% took that route, there is another 46K+- sales right in the door, and the customers are seeing that Ford is stepping up and taking care of them...I see this as a win-win for Ford....
  12. The body lines look kinda Buick-ey to me.....
  13. Proving yet again that instead of going to an attorney...you just continue to whine and cry about it just about everyone else that will listen No it wouldn't if you sued the dealership....how about suing Ford Motor Companies customer care office....while I agree that lawsuits are generally a waste of time...you have sat on your hands and done nothing while your truck sits and sits and sits.....how long is long enough, 120 days? 180? Tow operators cannot tow an F-450? There are a lot of good union tow operators too...always look for the union label. Not a wise idea either since you will end up in jail...and then you would get to meet me Ahhh.....this is where your conjecture takes a left turn into fantasy land....there is no internet in a NYS Correctional Facility and if I have to protect you from being stabbed...must be that you plan on becoming our latest incarcerated guest here at the graybar hotel? Today, as an example, I discovered a fight (no weapons used), got both inmates to the infirmary to be checked out and processed for a stay in SHU, packed all their property, ensured that their shaving razors were accounted for, got all their medications forwarded to the right places as well as maintained order and continued to run a 47 man medium housing unit...in case you were wondering, a medium security housing unit is one where there are no individual cells....dormitory (aka barracks style) housing, supervising two chow runs, two program runs, two recreation runs as well as ensure inmates went to meds and other various appointments.....oh, and no one got stabbed.....surf the web?? Maybe where you work...but not here....and no, I am not crying about it...I enjoy my career choice very much and prefer it to be busy like this....
  14. Hmmm....I guess everyone wants to whine and cry yet do nothing to fix it..... Step #1 go to "my settings" next to where you sign in at Step #2 click on "profile" under "your options" Step #3 click on "manage ignored users" Step #4 enter my screen name in the "Member's name" box Step #5 click "save changes" Step #6 enjoy a "twintornados free" forum Go get 'em tiger...... :reading:
  15. The follow up pictures showing the "angry" headlights....I think I see where the Ford "squirkles" design theme of the original 427 concept and subsequent first gen Fusion ended up...
  16. I just had the Aisin 6 speed in my Fusion flushed at 100K (recommended interval) and my Ford dealer used the pressure system that you speak of...the fluid was expensive as all heck....the job cost me $188.00, but the trans shifts fine...all is well....
  17. I am as entitled to my "opinion" about his alleged dilemma as you are....he has sat on his hands for now going over 90 days while his truck allegedly languishes at Loman Ford...he still wants to come on here and cry about it....you all give him a giant "pity party" due to it...I offer solid advise only to be rebuffed....I agree with his statements that he doesn't want to become rich off this dilemma nor does he want a new truck....all he wants is his truck back....go and fight for its return....don't sit here and lamely cry and whine about it....he posted it here on a forum that I am a member of....if you don't like my comments, might I suggest that you take your own advice? And, I have been called a lot worse than that for having my opinions...... :shades:
  18. Could be a suggestion for a D3 based medium size pick up truck....I like the side panel design....Taurus influences abound.
  19. Buy the MKS and be done with it....the utility of the Edge should not be the deciding factor....you know you want that MKS...it is not an "old mans car" and with a properly installed "hidden hitch", you can go out and get a 4X6 or 4X8 trailer for the odd trip to Costco or Home Depot....that is what I did when I bought my Fusion....was leaning toward a truck...Ranger, too small interior and no proper rear doors, and F150 was too freakin' big for my occasional runs to the store...buy the MKS......get a trailer....case closed...The comfort of the MKS sedan will always outshine the utility of the Edge. My girlfriend has a 2010 Escape (which she loves) but when we go out anywhere...it is always in my 2006 Fusion....much more comfort. Hidden Hitch for MKS
  20. My 1976 Mercury Montego MX 351W is rated at a "whopping" 162 HP...... :burnout:
