  1. Hmmm....I guess everyone wants to whine and cry yet do nothing to fix it..... Step #1 go to "my settings" next to where you sign in at Step #2 click on "profile" under "your options" Step #3 click on "manage ignored users" Step #4 enter my screen name in the "Member's name" box Step #5 click "save changes" Step #6 enjoy a "twintornados free" forum Go get 'em tiger...... :reading:
  2. The follow up pictures showing the "angry" headlights....I think I see where the Ford "squirkles" design theme of the original 427 concept and subsequent first gen Fusion ended up...
  3. I just had the Aisin 6 speed in my Fusion flushed at 100K (recommended interval) and my Ford dealer used the pressure system that you speak of...the fluid was expensive as all heck....the job cost me $188.00, but the trans shifts fine...all is well....
  4. I am as entitled to my "opinion" about his alleged dilemma as you are....he has sat on his hands for now going over 90 days while his truck allegedly languishes at Loman Ford...he still wants to come on here and cry about it....you all give him a giant "pity party" due to it...I offer solid advise only to be rebuffed....I agree with his statements that he doesn't want to become rich off this dilemma nor does he want a new truck....all he wants is his truck back....go and fight for its return....don't sit here and lamely cry and whine about it....he posted it here on a forum that I am a member of....if you don't like my comments, might I suggest that you take your own advice? And, I have been called a lot worse than that for having my opinions...... :shades:
  5. Could be a suggestion for a D3 based medium size pick up truck....I like the side panel design....Taurus influences abound.
  6. Buy the MKS and be done with it....the utility of the Edge should not be the deciding factor....you know you want that MKS...it is not an "old mans car" and with a properly installed "hidden hitch", you can go out and get a 4X6 or 4X8 trailer for the odd trip to Costco or Home Depot....that is what I did when I bought my Fusion....was leaning toward a truck...Ranger, too small interior and no proper rear doors, and F150 was too freakin' big for my occasional runs to the store...buy the MKS......get a trailer....case closed...The comfort of the MKS sedan will always outshine the utility of the Edge. My girlfriend has a 2010 Escape (which she loves) but when we go out anywhere...it is always in my 2006 Fusion....much more comfort. Hidden Hitch for MKS
  7. My 1976 Mercury Montego MX 351W is rated at a "whopping" 162 HP...... :burnout:
  8. The unsung hero will be the naturally aspirated 3.7L V6 @300+ horse power....this is going to be the fleet choice and will sell tens of thousands in that guise....I am interested in it as well, but I wish Ford would bring out a smaller pickup that is bigger than Ranger yet not as gargantuan as F-150...I have looked at F150 and that thing is huge.
  9. The dealership where the truck is allegedly at is not the same dealership he bought it from, just the closest one from where he supposedly broke down....the motivation is that the dealership has repeatedly tried to fix the truck yet there it sits over 82 days later...how long is "good will" going to last at a dealership he didn't buy the truck from and will never go back even if they did fix it right away? He is doing nothing other than coming here crying about it, and of course writing an email to Mulally ( :shades: wondering how many of those types of email Mulally gets daily) in other words, he has done nothing about it except for listen to the same line every Mon, Wed, and Fri like clockwork for going on three months......three months?? Would you sit on your hands that long?? I wouldn't!
  10. GM had their opportunity to really shrink down the company during the bankruptcy process but instead it is a story of too little, too late.....it made no sense at all to keep GMC since it is identical to Chevrolet truck. The limited lineup that Buick offers could have been sent to Cadillac....in retrospect, it should have come out of restructuring as Chevrolet/Cadillac....but there were too many dealers that would have gotten the axe if that came to pass.
  11. This should have been done 60 days ago....as for the suggestion of a lawyer....threatening with one and actually going with one is two different things....at this point, the original poster has nothing to lose since "good will" went out the window about two months ago.....
  12. T-Stag....it was right for Ford to get out of Jaguar / Land Rover...and to think Ford would attempt to sell it to an unsuspecting buyer so it would drive them out of business is ludicrous. Ford was intent to get out of a niche market since they weren't set up to do either brand the justice they deserve. It would make sense for Ford to sell it and expect them to be profitable going forward, why would we wish them otherwise. In the grand scheme of things, Jaguar and Land Rover are mere points on Tatas' crown, they do not expect to make gobs of profit with the brands...look at what Tata has their investments in...tea, hotels, insurance, tele-communications, construction, heavy equipment, steel mills, chemical companies, real estate, finance......the list goes on, oh yeah...they also own a halo brand called Jaguar/Land Rover. J/LR is only expected to make enough money so that it does not become a money pit......For a company like Ford, they were truly a money pit diverting needed cash and resources to the bread and butter Ford brand.
  13. Awwww, 156n3rd....you had to talk about Mondeo......it took Jelly less than 30 minutes to come roaring in here....I am just thankful you didn't rent a Jaguar or Land Rover PS: Congrats on the wedding :hyper:
  14. M/E, if you were the customer, you wouldn't have let it go this long...I mean really....80+ days and he is in the contracting business? After 30 days, he should have done as you suggested.....I will agree, if his story is indeed true...he is getting jacked around hard, but he is doing nothing about it except writing an email to Alan Mulally and complaining about it here on an enthusiast site......fight for it....you shouldn't have to but if you don't you will see that truck allegedly sitting there for another 80+ days... If his story is indeed true...I wish him well...... :reading: How about demanding that they button it up and send it to his original dealer or another certified Ford repair center to get it fixed.
  15. Yeah....because emailing Alan Mulally is going to work...NOT! Try emailing Santa Claus next....or you could have an attorney call them instead Mettech....then you would agree that instead of crying about it, he should have hired an attorney at this point... :shades:
  16. :hysterical: So....you are his advisor now?? Corcywill.....do yourself a favor and do not take advice from either of us....go speak to an attorney instead. The link was provided for general information...for his specific problems, he might have a leg to stand on within the laws...hence the suggestion to retain a legal professional..... You need to pull your cranium from your bowel region..... :reading:
  17. Well, soon that won't be the case as Panther is finally dragged around back behind the barn and shot
  18. Well.....good for you on not trying to get a new truck or get rich quick....and you can stop the "flag waving" about Ford creating jobs (they laid off a bunch of employees) If you don't hire an attorney, then you deserve to sit on your hands while the dealership takes your truck cab off again and again and again....I would have hired an attorney after 30 days....you don't want my advice? Fine....but stop crying about something you refuse to do anything about, other than come here and whine.... Your states lemon laws may still cover you as long as the vehicle is still under the warranty period....hence my suggestion to go get an attorney Free Lemon Law help And, since you asked...I am a New York State Corrections Officer (aka, a prison guard) and a union delegate for my membership.
  19. If were my $70K truck...I would have been working on it's replacement...not crying about on an enthusiast forum for help....he asked for help...I offered it...go hire a lawyer that knows "lemon laws"...anything else?? :reading:
  20. Have 'em button her up and go buy a Chevy....or trade it in for a new Super Duty....if they are fixing it....stop cryin' about it and continue on....that is the problem with todays' society... I want it now now now now now.....I could see if Ford isn't offering to fix it for ya.....the only thing you have proven is that they aren't fixing it as fast as you'd like. I don't know what you want from this forum, but crying about it won't work....try hiring a lawyer and insist that Ford take it back under lemon laws....it sucks you got a bad one, but there is always a solution to your problem. Ford is far from perfect....and they should be made to make you whole for your loss....go get 'em!
