  1. They should of corrected that in post production. Nathan is obviously excited and mixed that up. Honestly, TFL has had some really good content lately. I've been watching them for a lot of their stuff pretty regularly.
  2. Possibly. There is a sales guy that my father has bought at least 5 vehicles from in Metro Detroit area who has said he would give me A plan if I order. We'll see as a lot can change in a few months. Conflicting reports about the chip shortage too. I'm cautiously optimistic. If I have to pay MSRP on Maverick that's not that big of a deal, since invoice and MSRP aren't that far apart.
  3. Wondering why the 2.0 isn't included in this??? My extend warranty runs out soon. The 2023 order banks can't open fast enough for me.
  4. I can respect each opinion from Dean and Kirby. Pre pandemic, I would of said that 50/50 dealers would be good vs bad. However at this point, I think it's about 90/10 bad vs good. I think most dealers have really overplayed their hand by being greedy. I get it is a free market, and there is nothing to bind them to sell vehicles at MSRP. However this is more than that. This is dealers exploiting the situation for over 2 years straight. Automatically charging 5k-10k for anything on the lot. Changing agreements, selling orders right from the people who ordered them etc. We've heard the stories. We know it happens a lot. Don't you think Ford is hearing this too and the frustration of customers who preorder/reserve a mach e, maverick, bronco, and bronco sport only to find that the dealer has decided to tack on 10k of ADM when they go pick it up. This has been a long time coming. I am not sure how this shakes out but the dealer model was broken to a degree before this. The pandemic has just magnified it to where anyone who looks at it says that isn't right. Now I do think dealerships will be around but the will need to change to focus on where they make their money, service and maintenance. Just my opinion, I am merely guessing on how this all shakes out. It's clear that with franchise laws for dealers, there will be blood and attorneys will make lots of money in court.
  5. I want to say 3 series and C class were the luxury cars that were most impacted.
  6. According to Jonny Lieberman, embargo ends on June 20th for the Bronco Raptor. He posted a pic on IG of the media event.
  7. Farley is smart but he’s related to this guy so I expect a few foot in mouth moments. Couldn’t resist…sorry
  8. Tis an election year. One politician here gave away about 3 million in gas. That wasn’t a political stunt at all.
  9. Well no doubt we’ll have $7 dollar gas here in the Chicago area this summer. I saw a gas station pulling the 10cent discount for cash. Credit was 5.99 for regular. Interesting enough, went to Michigan this weekend and got 31 MPG going 75 on highway. A tune up, summer gas, and a recent oil change seems to have made a difference. I was not getting anything over 28 my last few visits. Stopped in Howell for lunch at a Brewery and heard several people complaining about gas and diesel prices. One guy was driving a lifted Duramax and another with a 392 Jeep. I guess their governor may stop the state gas tax for a few months for relief. Meanwhile my local government is taking excess Covid money from Feds to pay for free gas for the lower income. SMH
  10. Don’t forget the Taco and Land Cruiser. They sure have a following in the off-road community. They are plenty capable off road. So I call them passion vehicles. Outside of these plus what you mentioned, their vehicles have no pulse….at all.
  11. I think I have a different take here. Farley talking too much like a car guy and not enough l like a CEO. Not every vehicle needs to be a passionate home run. That works for F-150, Mustang, and Bronco. However, there is a large segment of buyers that view vehicles as appliances and care more about cost of ownership than something unique. His comments seem to alienate folks that buy white or beige sedans and SUVS. Toyota sells a crap ton of vehicles but very few have any sort of passion.
  12. 99.9% doubtful. DCT would make a terrible off road transmission.
  13. Still putting in premium despite this. Mind you this is Costco so it’s about 10 -20 % cheaper than most gas stations.
  14. None of us can say anything in regards to performance one way or the other for certain since the Raptor R isn't out yet and hasn't been tested. If I were betting man though, I would expect more power and far better performance on road, off road, desert running than the TRX. It would be a major disappointment if it didn't. So it would not just match what the TRX did two years ago, it should greatly exceed all aspects of the TRX. The TRX trump card has been been the engine/acceleration/sound, other than that the latest generation Raptor ALREADY is better in just about every way. In regards to wanting a more cutting edge advanced powertrain, that's a want and valid. I want them to put a Powerboost in everything (looking at the Expedition and Navigator). However, I realize that money and supplies are not infinite. Ford has to be wise on how they spend their resources. From the moment that the R was teased most felt like it would be the GT500 engine. Why? Because it's a great engine, it's already been engineered/tested, and would hit the metrics they are looking for. I am guessing that there was a a far lower cost for the supercharged 5.2 to be engineered to the R specs. Also adding a battery would probably mostly erase the weight advantage that the current Raptor has. My guess is the Raptor R will probably have a 500lbs advantage over the TRX.
  15. Yeah, I am not sure that is street legal. "Purpose-built and turnkey, Bronco DR – Desert Racer – is intended for off-road use only. "
  16. Respectable! Roughly what I was thinking. I wonder if they’ll come up with an R model???
  17. The engine weight is roughly 125lbs more than the 3.5TT. As long as they don't add too much more weight to support the extra power it should stay at least 500lbs less than TRX. So have the final power ratings been leaked? I'd say at least 710/650. Fill ups will probably be frequent and painful but if you can afford the FU money to buy, you probably don't care.
  18. When I do buy, there is a great chance I order/buy from a Metro Detroit dealer. I do see some are advertising A plan pricing. There seems to a large number of Ford Dealers that are not taking A/Z plan. Here in Illinois, good luck as most dealers are only giving MSRP to orders only. Anything on the lot will have some sort of markup.
  19. Now you just need to find a dealer to honor A plan. There are 0 within 100 mile radius of where I live. I'm not sure what Metro Detroit looks like with dealers. I have a hard time believing only the dealers by me are greedy.
  20. I think 2008 and 2009 would be more appropriate time frame to look at. I don't think this recession will be as bad but it's here even if most people still have their head in the sand at the moment. 2008: 515,513 2009: 413,625
  21. I'd instantly put an order in for one of those if they came out. We'll see when the 2023 order guide comes out in a few months.
  22. Feels like it, right? The other final specs and reviews we should be getting soon (since they are being scheduled) is Bronco Raptor model.
