House keeping us part of the team leaders job discription and I believe tag is suppose to do it once a day. Do u want me to keep the line moving or worry about the floor?

You know there isn't even a date to get you guys back. It's going to be longer than you think.

Follow the chain start w/ committee then go up. But I heard they are screwing over a lot of new hires. Some crap about when you got hired in. Which is bull shit. I know 2 girls on my line one got hire a month or so before the other and the union is saying they have a different amount of time before their insurance kicks in. One might get it and the other might not. In my opinion if you are a "new hire" EVERYONE should have the same amount of time for the same things and if you Worked last year you should get profit sharing.

I agree with the General on this you are going to have to wait til they get some people in the plant and trained before you go anywhere. You sound like the type of person that gives skilled trades a bad rep. I bet you haven't even been on the line that long. And you should be thankful that you are even going back to trades. Because its not like it's been a secret that the company wants to cut WAY down on trades and get people crossed trained so they can get rid of 1/2 of you guys.

Lmfao…SOOOO TRUE!!!!! Isnt that the same guy that doesn't care about anybody else but himself? And the company & union have said and are saying they are going to do a lot of things that STILL haven't happened. Plus seeing that tool time or whatever your screen name is if you haven't learned by now that it doesn't matter what the contract says if whatever they do is to benefit the company(right or wrong) the union WILL back them and use some lame ass excuse as to why they are letting it happen. It's sad but true

I work C crew & we were thinking maybe we'd hear something on Monday since its the weekend.

Yeah that was a weird way to put it. I'm glad the company doesn't allow fighting. Lol. If they did it'd be like a bar room brawl everyday.

Yeah but when you know you don't necessarily get along with certain people you stay away from them as much as possible and put your headphones in when your around them.

Seriously this is pry one of the rudest posts. If your working already and don't care about others why should we care if you are trades and working production? And just cuz that's the way it should happen doesn't mean that it will happen as soon as you expect it to.

I was thinking the same thing. It's crazy. I don't know if these people will get their jobs back … zero tolerance for fighting & harassment. But no matter how much I disliked someone which in a place that big is more than possible I'd NEVER lose my job and livelyhood over some A hole!!

Ok. Just heard like 6 people got fired and someone got knocked out. Not saying its true everyone should know how plant rumors go.

DTP has been doing : crews longer than 3 years there was a 7 month break but it's been at least 5 years. I know cuz that's how long I've been there. What happened to Ford wanting to put all North American Assembly plants on 3 crews 5 days a week? Cus I'm ready to go back to that now. Te company could get more units plus less medicals.JMO

What happened to putting all North American plants on 5/8's? I'd love that. After 5 years on 4/10's I'm over it. Plus if they need OT only 2 out of the 3 have a chance to get it. So it makes more sense to me. I know it's just wishful thinking.

Soooo true but you can't blame someone for asking why the contract isn't being followed. Because we all know they only follow it if it benefits the company. Sad but true. And why are 2 different groups getting different pay and insurance? All new hires should be uniformed in Pay and when they get insurance.

No I know of a few who only had about a year seniority as a temp & they were hired in the 1st group. They should hire by seniority & off of the evaluations. And the people that will come in do their job and not complain for 10 hours about that they aren't in the department they wanna be in.

Nice to hear someone that wants to work!! So sick of a handful of people that going to work is just for hanging out or if they get put on a job they go to medical and try to go home & think it's perfectly cool that while thousands of us come to work everyday & bust our asses while they chill & get paid the same. Makes me SICK

Yeah to get trained. I trained someone one day and they had it the next. And if they aren't getting trained and just doubled up that's the team leader and managements fault.

Where do you work the ones on see do the job given to them and are learning others. That's way more than some 1st tier employees.

Your kidding me right???? Everything you just said was negative!!! So if that's you being positive I'd rather hear from the people who are going to bitch…Oh and by the way I DO deserve the bonus!!! I work my ass off everyday. I don't know where you work or what type of job you do but for the people that come to work everyday do their jobs and do a little extra just because we care about the product & quality all deserve this bonus without people caring about our products & company we would be a lot worse off

No we are not. I used to do that plus some Sunday's. It's easy to say let's stay on 4-10's if you have a cake job. I've been on this schedule for about 5 years now and now that we do tag relief over it. I get bounced around so even when I do an easier job it still sucks. So I'd be happy to go back to 5-8's ASAP.

The extra day off is nothing but a recovery day plus the overtime factor. Can't get OT unless you are on A or B crew.

I'm not fat or in bad shape but the 4 10's are rough unless you have a gravy job. Even then it sucks. Been doing it for 5 years now and I'm ready for a break!
