  1. Thought I would chime in here on RWD Explorer. Coming from a former Explorer owner and current GC owner, I would move back to the Explorer if it went RWD. I currently drive an Expedition and the wife drives the GC.
  2. What in gods name website did you link to? That was horrible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEx6ATRbJGA
  3. Its not better or worse, its just different. My first experience with it was in my 2010 Fusion, I will say it was nice being able to turn the wheel with one finger.
  4. You might be correct, I didn't read the entire article to find out if the vehicle they tested was 4wd or not. I will say that it is one of the things I really wish we would have gotten on my wife's Grand Cherokee; you don't realize how much you use them until you don't have them.
  5. Am I correct in seeing that the King Ranch they tested does not have front tow hooks?
  6. I have to agree, while I have no experience with it in the Expedition. I did have it in my 1995 Explorer and ended up swapping it for traditional shocks. When purchasing our 2008 Expedition I would not look at models that had the air suspension.
  7. Thank you, I wonder when you will be able to build an price it on Ford's website.
  8. Nice, I just turned 120k on mine. Still looks great.
  9. Just had the 100,000 mile service done with changing of the crappy two piece plugs. 8 out of 8 plugs broke. The dealership broke both of their extractor tools getting them out. Lets just hope she purrs like a kitten when I pick her up.
  10. Its a female buyer thing, all of the people I know that have full sized SUV's like that prefer the Tahoe over the Expedition because to them "its cuter." Also one of the reasons that I convinced the wife to get the Expedition over the Tahoe is that its nice to not see the same vehicle as you on the road every 5th car. Heck I haven't even seen another Expedition that has the Stone Green Metallic CC.
  11. Its also now up on Ford's website. I am kind of digging the Bronze Fire paint color. http://www.ford.com/suvs/expedition/2015/
  12. I'm really not a fan to tell you the truth. If they would have come out with that grill in 2010 it would have made more sense but now Ford is moving away from the bar grills. I wished they would have done more with the interior but its not bad. I'm glad it finally got MyFord Touch.
  13. I would not say considerably larger, I just looked up the specs and the Explorer is what I would consider 'slightly' larger. Explorer | Edge | Difference Exterior Length: 184.2 | 197.1 | 12.9" Exterior Body width: 76 | 78.9 | 2.9" Exterior Height: 67 | 71 | 4" Wheel Base: 111.2 | 112.6 | 1.4" Front Legroom: 40.7 | 40.6 | -0.1" Rear Legroom: 39.6 | 39.8 | 0.2" Luggage Volume: 32.2 | 21 | -11.2 Max Luggage Volume: 68.9 | 80.7 | 11.8 cu. ft. For all intents and purposes they are the same size except one has third row and the other does not (in my opinion).
  14. Thats really strange. Are they aftermarket? I have a 2008 Limited as well (though not EL) and it shows up, except for air suspension because I do not have that option.
  15. I have to say it looks much better now that I can see the entire vehicle. I can't wait to see what they are going to do with the Expedition which I really like the exterior of but is in major need of an interior overhaul.
  16. I really hope that the new Expedition just carries over the front end of the new F-150.
  17. Why does the cargo area slope back? Seems like anything you put back there will just fall out as soon as you open the lift gate. http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2015-chevy-suburban/med/#photo-999738/
  18. Its interesting the shot of the new nav system. It almost looks aftermarket.
  19. Basically the same as the last few model years. Only real change I see is in the suspension and I'm not sure if this past model year had the MyKey.
  20. These really look like Ford's to me.
  21. Has anyone seen this on a vehicle in person? How does it look?
  22. Does anyone know if this has any merit for its just BS'ing? http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1235115-fyi-2015-ford-expedition-to-get-5-0-liter-coyote-v-8-and-10-speed-auto.html
  23. I confused myself, not being a Jeep person I associated Cherokee with Grand Cherokee, I know back in the day they were two different vehicles. You are correct. I am sorry, I thought they were talking about the Grand Cherokee instead of the Liberty replacement. You're right, I would not purchase a Cherokee based on looks alone, I would move up to the Grand Cherokee.
