This is very true. I look at my wife, she wanted a Jeep Commander because she was a long time Jeep driver. I said well why do you want it.... "because it has the third row" so I said ok lets look at the competition. We looked at a Tahoe, Expedition and Commander. The Jeep didn't even last the entire test drive it was just bad quality. So we moved on to the Tahoe and Expedition, she hated the fact that the seats in the back didn't fold flat so we have a 2008 Expedition Limited that we love. We can load up the three dogs, kid and head up north without a problem. But the reason she wanted a Tahoe was because one of her friends had one.

It looks 100x better than the GC.

Its really horrible. In my opinion they took the best looking SUV on the market and created something I wouldn't even think twice about purchasing. I am a die hard Ford fan, the only full sized SUV I would even consider purchasing right now is a Grand Cherokee (it looks leaps and bounds better than the Explorer to me). But with this refresh I won't even look at a Jeep lot.

I completely agree with you, we currently have a 2008 Expedition and it is the exact same as the 2012/13. Why would I want to go out and spend 50k+ on something I can pick up used for less than half the price and it look exactly the same?

Whatever this is it is perhaps one of the ugliest things I have seen since the Aztec.

To give a little insight from a former Ranger owner, I had a 2001 Ranger and went to an Explorer after they were discontinued. A lot of my friends and family that had Rangers either went the SUV route or to car, only one went to the F-150.

I think the front resembles a Mercedes very closely which isn't all that bad. But the rear end is horrible, its like they gave up... much along the same lines of how GM designed the new Silverado, put all the work into the outside then gave up on the inside.

Thanks, I was trying out the new camera. I agree, everything did seem a lot darker but the Mercedes display was extremely bright compared to everyone else's displays. I didn't even look at Toyota, I stopped by Kia briefly and chatted with one of the sales people about the Optima. It has a lot of nice features but I cannot believe how much they are charging for that thing. My buddy that was with us is a huge GMC fan so we spent a lot of time chatting with one of the people at the new Sierra display and got some good info, they were very nice and helpful even with my Ford bias. The wife sat in the new Tahoe and liked it (though I despise the interior), she made the comment that her husband would never let her get one because he's a Ford guy and the other person said "I'm sorry" even though she has a Expedition Limited. Anyways here is the only shot I got of the Impala.

The wife and I went to the autoshow on Sunday. Overall opinion was that Ford looked like the only one that spent money on the show. My wife is between the 2014 GLK 350 or the MKC as her next vehicle, I want the Fusion. When I was there I saw more people around the MKC concept than the Corvette. I liked the ATS but that was pretty much it from the GM display, the new Escalade headlights are a monstrosity and I am really not digging the new Silverado styling. I have to agree with the others the Atlas is cool but nothing earth shattering. Maserati and Porsche has the best show girls. Oh and on a side note the Impala is horrible and some guy wanted to fight be because I said I would take a 2002 Taurus over that any day and I wasn't much impressed with Chrysler's offerings either.

I think GM gave up on the interior, they must have spent so much time on the exterior that they just mailed in the interior.

My favorite brown Ford has done in recent years wasn't even labeled as brown. Its Stone Green Metallic CC, we have it on our Expedition and I love it. My uncle has an Explorer and it might be this Kodiak brown that you are talking about, for the first like 5 times I thought it was black.

This is so true its not even funny. My wife wanted a Tahoe for some unknown reason. I drove a 2009 from Michigan to Nebraska last year and really hated its mushy steering and horrible 4 speed transmission. When we were finally in the market for one I took her to drive and Expedition and she loved the way it drove and I loved that it was a Ford. But she still likes the Tahoe because it "looks better" to her.

Why can I not configure an SE with leather and the sports appearance package?

I believe the standard "build your own" configurator is up with some different options and packages. I am glad I can finally see the rims that are offered. I am really torn between a 33k Titanium and a 28k SE.

My 2008 Expedition has a weight limit of 200 lbs. LUGGAGE RACK Your vehicle is equipped with a roof rack for transporting items on the exterior of the vehicle. I'm looking at the options for an SE and have a question. What exactly is "Voice Activated Navigation" and why would I pay an additional $795 for it over the SE Technology Package that includes MyFord Touch. I though that MFT came with integrated navigation, is that not correct? Thanks for any help.

I built a comparable '13 to my '10 SEL and its only about 3k more than my current Fusion and I get My Ford Touch and a few other things like a manual transmission. I'm happy with that, ill get getting one with the lease runs out on my wife's vehicle.
