  1. i have the FWD 2.0. I've been getting about 33 on the highway and about 23 in the city. I've been running about 25 combined for most tanks. Driving is about 80% city 20% highway.
  2. Average MPG. Wish I could show both it and instantaneous MPG. Please add it Ford!
  3. I was able to update mine successfully but no luck getting syncmyride.com to see the update. Tried several browsers but none could see the right file on the USB drive. I could see the USB drive on the computer so not sure where things went wrong. No complaints about the update so far but I haven't really driven very far since I installed it.
  4. I've only towed my trailer empty and barely loaded so no noticeable performance difference but it handled very well, even at highway speeds. The receiver seems to be a little big for both my hitch ball and my bike rack so both make a little more moving around noises than I'd like but it gets the job done.
  5. I have looked and not found it. I was hoping it was available in the service mode but it's not even in there. Would love to have it in a future update!
  6. I believe the most I've put in to date is about 11.5 and I've generally been filling up when the light comes on. It's funny that my Escape consistently takes the same amount of gas (around 11 gallons) when the light comes on as my last car did despite having a 15.1 gallon tank instead of a 13.2.
  7. I agree with Transitman. The partial leather driver's seat is by far the most comfortable seat in any vehicle I've owned or driven for long periods of time.
  8. I've had the same thing happen with mine. While I'm in the US, I have mine set to metric temperatures if it matters (I'm an engineer - we like the metric system). I can only remember having it happen once but I don't really use the voice system for climate changes except to show it off since I've found it's easier and faster to just reach down and change the temperature knob.
  9. I love the concept of sliding rear doors with no B pillars. I recently bought a 2013 Escape primarily for cargo room. Truth be told, my previous Civic sedan was large enough - if I had been able to open the doors wider to put large objects in. If I were still in the market, I'd be all over something like the B-max that has small car fuel economy but large car hauling abilities.
  10. Mine was flawless for the first few weeks but hasn't been recently. It has now black screened on me twice - one time I had to turn off the car before it came back. The other time, it came back up after a few minutes. My clock has also forgotten the time after both black screens. It also lost the time earlier this week with no apparent malfunction. It's occasionally slow to respond, which can be annoying if you hit the power button on the radio to talk to someone at a drive through and it keeps on playing. Overall I like the system, but it definitely still needs some love.
  11. Yes, swing away is key. Mine ALMOST clears the lift gate in the up position but it would be hard to load anything even if it did clear if you couldn't drop it out of the way. I have an older style that holds three bikes. It's great for me but a lot of the newer ones can load/unload the bikes faster. Mine has a plate on two 4" hand screws that hold the bikes in place. I picked mine up used for cheap so I can't complain. Sure easier than trying to stuff a bike inside - and I can still seat five. If you don't have a hitch, most of the bike racks are for 1 1/4" receivers but come with a 2" adapter. If all you want the hitch for is bikes, you could go with the generally cheaper smaller size. You should also be able to get a hitch for a Focus although I wouldn't use it for anything but bikes.
  12. I ordered the trailer tow package on my 2013 Titanium. It gave me a 2" hitch and a 4 pin lighting connector on the rear bumper. Came with everything but the ball that I would need to pull a trailer. Haven't tried it with a trailer yet but have used a 2" hitch mount bike rack several times already.
  13. I'm considering doing something like the huskies on mine. Never had all weather mats before but I've worn holes through the mats of every car I've had before. Thinking all weather might be a good choice for a SUV.
  14. Picked it up last night. Very impressed so far - would definitely buy again!
  15. Just got the call from my dealer. My Escape is here! I'm picking it up tonight!
  16. Thanks cyberdman! Excited that my ride is almost here!
  17. Could I get an update cyberdman? My VIN is 1fmcu0j93dua23748. Thanks!
  18. I'd like an update please. Sold my old car today so ready for my Escape to arrive!
  19. I went from unscheduled/no VIN to unscheduled/VIN to built in under two weeks. Of course, delivery is still showing as unscheduled and mine has been built for over a week now. My dealer says that he has ones arriving on trucks that still show as unscheduled delivery in the computer. Sounds like something is a little off on the computer system but I've been told to expect mine as early as this weekend and definitely by the end of the month. I'm just hoping I can get my Civic sold for a good price before the Escape arrives so I can just transfer my plates over.
  20. My HVAC guy has two CNG work trucks. He converted both himself in 2007-08. His main truck is based on a 1986 GMC pickup. He can fill it up for about $2.00 per gallon gas equivalent. When he first converted his trucks, he had all kinds of options for filling up his CNG tank. A number of the stations were run by the Maryland state government and have since either closed completely or have been closed to non-government vehicles. Today, he has two stations that he can use but both are over 30 miles from his home base so he mainly uses gas around town but fills up with CNG any time he is near a station or will make a detour if he's going to a farther away customer (like me). He's quite upset that the government has limited access to stations, frequently in the name of "security". He doesn't have natural gas at his home or he'd have a home compressor so he's now leasing a Nissan Leaf to see if he could turn one into a work truck for smaller jobs since electricity is everywhere. I would be all about a natural gas vehicle if fueling up outside the home was a realistic option in the mid atlantic region. I would be all about a two mode vehicle where I could run gas on road trips if needed and CNG for commuting. I frequently see a CNG Honda Civic in the parking garage at work. It has Virginia tags so the owner must fuel it at home.
  21. I have a VIN now! Please check my current status, thanks! 1fmcu0j93dua23748
  22. Test drove a SEL 2.0 AWD tonight. Glad I ordered mine! Dealer says mine has been produced but is still awaiting shipment. Should be here in the next week or two. Time to put the for sale sign on the Civic!
  23. Have my VIN but I'm still unscheduled. Dealer thinks that I might get scheduled on Friday. He's expecting a SEL 2.0 with AWD in tomorrow that I'm hoping to go and drive. He has five on order for his inventory but only two have been built and one of them was damaged in the hail storm.
