  1. OP did an update on his post. All is good. Check first post.
  2. Ford GT wins at Laguna Seca. Congratulations to Ford and team.
  3. I think Chip Ganassi has spread himself to thin. He has teams in NASCAR, INDY Car, IMSA, WEC, and GRC. Not enough resources (engineers) to be racing in all the series. Just my thoughts. “You always race to win,” Executive Chairman Bill Ford Jr. told The Detroit News
  4. In IMSA they haven't slowed the Corvettes down any so far this year that I know of.
  5. 7th #67 and 10th #66 I believe.
  6. Well the 2 Ford GT's didn't do as well as I thought they would at Long Beach. The #67 car finished 4th in class 1 lap down to the class winner and 3 laps down overall. And the #66 was pledged with a drivers door that wouldn't stay shut (never had that problem before) took 2 laps to get it fixed. They finished 8th in class 3 laps down to the class winner and 5 laps down over all. The Porsche 911 RSR was the class winner. The cars just don't have the power to out run the Corvettes, Ferrari's, or Porsche. Not feeling that good about a podium finish at Le Mans now as I was before. Hope they can find some more speed somewhere.
  7. I know, they are just giving the engineers something to do.
  8. Another over grown land barge. Plenty of things to go wrong with that swing up door and steps.
  9. The #66 GT hydroplaned off track during the rain storm at the beginning of the race and got front end damage that had to be repaired. The#67 almost got a 3rd place finish but got "moved" off track with about 10 minutes remaining and ended up 5th. Still have work to do and there will be 4 GT's at Le Mans Numbers will be 66, 67, 68, and 69. The years the original GT40's won in Le Mans., pretty cool. Would be nice to see at least one of them win it.
  10. Ford GT's 5th and 8th in class. Better but not great.
  11. Here is a good read about the Ford GT. They do mention that the DP cars are going to Sebring in the article but like you said not listed in practice times. http://www.hotrod.com/cars/featured/1603-exclusive-inside-the-ganassi-racing-ford-gt/
  12. I'm pretty sure the Ford DP cars are no more. They ran at Daytona, but I think that was the only race for them this year.
  13. Penske is still the dominant Ford team. Even Ryan Blaney in the Wood brothers #21 (under the Team Penske umbrella) a rookie is out performing Roush. When will Greg Biffle jump ship? I say this will be his last year with Roush.
  14. Does this happen with just Fords or other manufacturers seeing this with their aluminum hood trunk lids etc?
  15. Not going to happen. The after market is married to GM and V8's.
  16. Doug Yates said they were working on engine development for SHR in 2017 starting now. They have to supply ~ 60 engines to SHR next season. Doug said they will be bring on more engineers and addition help they will need. Wish I knew the HP and torque figures of each brand. It would be interesting to see how close they really are to one another.
  17. Figure it out Richard. The topic is JDPower Vehicle Dependability Study. I guess 16 recalls on one vehicle makes it dependable? And still recalls on the 2016 model. I don't know if you work for Ford or not, but I sure wouldn't feel to good about that type of quality in a vehicle. Am I missing something? I'm not a troll. I have owned Fords all my life. Have 3 of them right now in my garage, I own Ford stock, I cheer for Ford when racing. I want this company to achieve great things, but when stuff like this keeps happening over and over it makes one wonder if anyone there has their finger on the pulse. It sure seems like they don't to me. Tell me I'm wrong.
  18. http://www.carcomplaints.com/Ford/Escape/2016/ Still having problems in 2016
  19. How do you fix a problem when pointing out the problem is labeled an excuse? I don't know maybe you should ask Ford management.
  20. Ford has problems with quality. The root causes has got to be found, or they will continue to slide downward.
