    And that is why the quality will never be fixed at Ford. It really is an archaic way to do business IMHO.

    I just sold it last week. I owned it since 1985 and got it on the road in 2001.

    Anyone have one and if so did you get the handling package? I'm looking to get one but have heard the handling package is not worth the price for street use.

    I guess that's why Ford has so many recalls. Don't do it right the first time, let the customer deal with it later then we'll fix it. That is just plain stupid business practice. And that's why I have said in other threads that the talk of fixing the quality issues at Ford is just Blah, blah, blah........They will never change ever

    These engineers should go to a dealership for a week and see just how stupid some of the designs are when having to do repairs. It should be mandatory for them to go.

    Can someone please tell me why stuff like this isn't caught in testing. They run all sorts of test with instruments and probes and they can't see that something hot with oil and fuel vapors near by would be a problem if a leak developed?
