Update: we currently have a 2017 Escape as a loaner while the Focus is in the shop for yet another warranty repair (no it's not transmission related). She needs it tonight so I'll get her opinion when she gets back home.

I used to have a 2002 Explorer Sport and she refused to drive it unless she absolutely had to. In the 4 years I had it she drove it maybe 3 times. My wife would be the opposite of yours. She would drag me out of the Ferrari so she could drive it herself.

She's always preferred the lower seating position and has always hated driving bigger cars.

Well said. When we leased our Focus, we had a pretty good idea we would be trying to have a baby soon, and knew the back seat could be a problem for a car seat. Boy we're we right. As he gets bigger and the car seat grows with him, it portrudes further into the front seat area. Its already pretty much sitting at my temple at 4 months old. I hate to get rid of it because a. It's a stick and b. I do truly love it despite its limitations, but it's just not going to work when we decide have our second one.

They've never really marketed it all that heavily. They did one blitz of billboards locally when the 2012 came out for like 2 months, then one when the 2015 MCE came out for like 1 month and that's been all I've seen. No print media, no TV, very little internet and a bunch of billboards. That's a fail.
