  1. My fiancé and I both thought Chrysler 200
  2. It's bigger, and bigger means better!
  3. you got that backwards, the fusion was flexed in on the mustang line. there is no "old" mustang line, its all the same.
  4. Asking around last night to people who are plugged into the situation over at FRAP, the rumor mill concerning any new product coming in there any time soon seems to have gone cold.
  5. That's what I was saying, tune it to fit the car, but I still don't think using the exact same setup is necessarily a good thing here. At the very least, distance themselves from the performance division and give it a different name. Save the performance names for a future red label trim or a possible lincstang.
  6. I'm not saying that, I'm saying there's no way production is starting in the fall. Not if the production version is a 2017 model.
  7. That's because they live in their own little world where they are always right and everyone else is wrong
  8. Hey Robert, does this mean that the rumors we heard of a lincoln large sedan being built at FRAP later this year are false?
  9. Sure it does. You want your big flagship sedan to drive like a mega-refined vehicle right? By all accounts it sounds to me like the performance AWD drivetrain as it stands in its current form is a pretty raw system meant to be thrown around beat to hell. You can take that system and put it in a large sedan, sure but why stop there? You can make it even better, fit for a flagship luxury sedan without neutering the performance aspect
  10. No, not the new AWD system. A derivative yes, but keep the full performance system in performance cars.
  11. I think its a non issue as far as the mainstream buying public is concerned. Average joe consumer isn't going to confuse a Lincoln with a Bentley. Average Joe consumer probably isn't even aware that the Bentley is even called a Continental and not just "Bentley". Besides, didn't the two coexist previously?
  12. Being that it's a "concept" and not the production ready version, I have my doubts about that. If this does indeed share a platform with the next gen taurus that may or may not be happening, I think we find out for sure what platform it is when they unveil that.
  13. :O 2 words. HOLY. SHIT! That is a car to be proud of!
  14. Yes, they still really don't like pictures being taken, but with smartphones these days, you can sneak them in every now and then when the boss has his back turned.
  15. Your best shot of that is knowing someone who works on the line, though I can tell you from personal experience looking for a friend's car on the line, I ended up missing it because it's just too hard to read every vin # coming down the line.
  16. The only Ford plant that has public tours that I'm aware of is Dearborn Truck via The Henry Ford Museum.
  17. Actually, it will more likely be Flat Rock, they're supposedly adding a third shift later this year.
  18. Solar panels on a trailer, no. However, I'm sure if you got creative with the placement you could fit enough on the cab and get enough power from them to justify it
  19. . This. This should be the mindset right here.
  20. Voith has a totally different contract than what production has, it's not an apples to apples comparison
  21. You won't know unless they call. As far as I know, the test results are good for a few years, but I'm not sure of the exact length. When I got hired in as a temp 2 years ago, I took the test in March and was called in mid-April. Just curious, what area are you in? If it's in Michigan, it could be sooner rather than later.
  22. Really, your argument is Voith? A totally separate company!? You should really come up with something a little better than that
  23. Spinmaster Musk is already backpedaling http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/car-technology/news/a25307/musk-backtracks-re-outlawing-human-drivers/
