  1. Highway cruising at 79 was 23, city averaged 18, but that included a lot of stops in very hot weather. Mostly flat, only slight hills. Thanks for asking, there are many things I probably forgot to mention.
  2. Reducing the Carbon footprint in a C8. Yep, I see that? Bet the Aviator gets better MPG than the C8! Ever since the HP/twist revelation, all I can think about is "Son, you're going to drive me to drinkin if you don't stop drivin that Hot Rod Lincoln". I sorta feel guilty about not feeding enough carbon to the trees by getting a little green PHEV.
  3. If you have a build date it has been scheduled. You can ask, but chances are extremely low, depending on whether the commodity is available and your regional rep has pull. Typically scheduled builds are not changeable. . If you are near a big dealer, he could get you another pretty quick.
  4. The world of facts may not be as you see them. I'm sure if your vision was achievable, they would have done it. But lets say they could have made your day, maybe they are budgeting their credits. GM and Tesla are in phase out. In a business case, it is more important to sell more vehicles than keep a few customers happy. You will see lots of moaning also as the GT's won't be any where close to easy to get. A loaded GT and a loaded Reserve are only separated by $1600 after tax rebates. Watch for the dreaded ADM when dealers realize these are hard to get. Other factors could be weight which effects towing and fuel economy, there has to be a balance and you have to sandbag a new model for competition sake. They also could be keeping a price point gap between it and the Gator. Unless you wear a suit and tie at the Glass House everyday and have a private office, you can only guess why they did what they did.
  5. It had the dynamic handling package. • Air Glide Suspension with Dynamic Lower Entry • Adaptive Suspension with Road Preview • Adaptive Steering
  6. I measured the area where the seats are when up as that is the narrowest section. It had 48 inches behind the 3rd row seats.
  7. The 50 km doesn't matter in the US or Europe, it only matters on the export version sent to China. To me the hybrid is just a small bonus. I drove the regular for an entire weekend on all types of roads. It blew my wives Q5 Quattro away by a very large gap IMO. It cost 10K more, and the features and ride in the Aviator was well worth it. When I jumped back in my F-150 contour seats, I almost thought they changed them with the oil, the difference was that pronounced. THe tax rebate will be 6K or 6.1K depending on how the IRS does the decimal rounding. The difference in price between a loaded GT and a loaded regular after the rebate is $2,125. The GT is a no brainer for the better gas mileage and fast fun factor. 20-25 or 30 Miles in EV does not matter to me. If it mattered, I'd wait a year or two.
  8. Sorry it took so long to reply, it has been a long 10 days. Anywho, the widest point in the third row is 42 inches, no sheet of plywood unless you lean it. It can accommodate the 96 inch length with the seats forward about halfway. The lowest height load point was 39inches. The explorer appeared wider at the third row, but I did not measure it.
  9. I could not get the stills to upload, so I put them in an iTunes movie and loaded to you tube. Just hit pause to take a longer look.
  10. This is it lowering as I walk up, you have to wait a second for it to finish. BTW, my wife is 5ft and asked if it had running boards when she first saw it in normal height, I told her it will kneel down to let her get in, she was sold on the feature.
  11. Hi Cyberdman Dealer L22658 order D777 Thank You Much
  12. Keep in mind, we do not know anything about the battery. Ford recently partnered with a company that is pioneering new high density batteries. This could be the first model with the new batteries. Comparing any battery to an older technology is like say a 289cu block today nets the same HP as a 1980 289cu block. It may hit the range, we'll have to wait and see.?
  13. The Lincoln dealers meeting is this week in Vegas, should see info next week.

    My Car

    Pics of my cars
  15. I have a lot more photos for you to see, inside and out. I ran in to a file limit uploading. The one I posted is blurry and needs to be deleted, I'll get it fixed. I have clear ones where you can read the gauges. I think the Corsair picture is enhanced. The Aviator does have ambient lighting similar and you have a whole palette to choose from.
  16. I still have a lot to talk about with my time and many pictures, I guess BOF only lets you post 10 meg total. I'll have to shrink some, delete some to get more room. Or can I add them to my albums here and just link in the thread? Anyhow, here is the bad/negative things I discovered: 1. The wheel center caps are cheap plastic...beautiful wheels deserve better. 2. Sunglass holder could be straight out of a stripped out Fiesta 3. Hands on the wheel is too sensitive, on long straight stretches if you are holding the wheel steady for a bit, the cruise kicks off. 4. I could not get it to auto park without trying to hit something. ( I may have been too jumpy since it was such a rare car at this point and time, and I didn't own it) When it finally did back into a spot it left 4 feet between me and the other car, leaving 4 feet out in the road. Don't plan on using it because the cameras are great, but if you charge for it, it should work. That's what I remember so far, I had a friend and his wife who were supposed to double date with us Saturday in the Aviator become seriously ill Friday and so a lot of my weekend was running back and forth from the Hospital to his house. It garnered a lot of city and interstate driving. I did take some breaks and focused on the car. This is also why I am so far behind on my pics and getting replies.
  17. It does, I was just referring to sitting in the driveway.
  18. If you put it in excite is drops down and then select snow and it goes up. It would be nice to auto lower when you put it in park. The only way I could get it down was having excite selected.
