  1. Hopefully we can see the Everest/ranger uncovered a bit more. I’m ready to see what the front end is gonna look like since what we have seen seems to differ a bit from the renders. I’ve always been a fan of the Everest. I’d like to see it come here. I know there is a market for an off road vehicle with a fixed roof. It could be a true competitor for the 4Runner. Maybe ford thinks the timberline explorer will fill that void?
  2. Just saw you can add some “accessory” wheels on build and price. These appear to be the same wheels on the STX package for the ranger. If you add the wheels, then they show up as the wheels from the black appearance package on the ranger. When added to the outer banks, I really think they improve the appearance. Now if I only knew what wheels you’d actually get lol.
  3. I haven’t had my start stop come on in years. Just turn on max ac, which I pretty much need all the time anyways, and you’ll never have to worry about it.
  4. Recently had a new Jeep Wrangler rental. I liked everything about it except for the steering. If the bronco is even slightly better, it’s a win. I know we have a few savage geese fans here, here is their review. Their only complaint seemed to be the 2.3.
  5. https://fordauthority.com/2021/06/ford-caught-benchmarking-c8-corvette-stingray-around-dearborn/ Anyone know what this is about? The article mentions a Thunderbird trademark that was filed earlier this year. It would be cool to have the thunderbird as a corvette competitor again.
  6. It sucks that ordered are delayed even longer. Used vehicle prices are so high right now that I’d want to buy my vehicle ASAP to ensure I got a good deal on my trade in. But the bronco looks really good with the color matched roof. That’d be hard to pass up if you were set on getting it.
  7. Honestly I’m surprised to see this even offered. I rarely see these on full-size trucks, and I couldn’t tel you the last time I saw one on a midsize or smaller.
  8. Here’s a full view of it. Looks pretty bad
  9. Apparently this black diamond has already been picked up by the customer. This is possibly the exact build I will get eventually. Saves me 5k over sas and still looks very capable. what is the opinion of the MGV seats in the black diamond? I’ve heard everything from “it’s better than the leather” to “it feels like the vinyl seats in a f150 work truck.” Anyone here have any actual experience with it?
  10. Finally saw a wildtrak at my local dealer. Man it was nice. I’d like to see a non Sasquatch version though as I think it will be plenty big.
  11. Exactly. And why would the maverick get any available chips over $50-70k Broncos and f150s?
  12. I’d buy the next gen Everest if it looked like this. It would be a good 4Runner competitor, but I don’t think there is room for it with the bronco and the explorer timberline.
  13. Here’s a good video TFL did with the Mavericks Engineer Manager. At the 9 min mark he states it can’t run on battery alone. There’s also a lot of other good info in it too.
  14. I keep thinking that the day has come where all cars will have push button start, but Ford keeps proving me wrong. At some point, you’d think it’d be cheaper just to offer one or the other.
  15. Just noticed that there aren’t any fog lights available. Adding fogs and shrinking the headlights would help the front. Besides that, my only other nitpicks are the black bumpers, the off-centered touchscreen (I thought they made it like that because there was going to be a larger screen available and then it would have made sense, but there isn’t), and sync 3. Besides that, there’s a lot to like. The price, the mpg, the interior. I wish Ford would combine all 3 vehicles into one and then I’d have my perfect vehicle. Size of the escape, style and off road ability of bronco sport, interior and engine options of maverick.
  16. I don’t think this looks that bad. The different color fenders and the tail lights are a bit strange but everything else looks ok. If I had to choose, I’d take the ionic 5 over this though.
  17. https://www.motor1.com/news/512590/2022-kia-sportage-design-reveal/ probably one of the best interiors in the segment. That front end is terrible though.
  18. I like everything about this except for the front end. Something about the headlights just throws off the design. Maybe they are too big for this small of truck. that 115 torque number has to be wrong.
  19. I had the original stx f150. I always assumed Ford had a surplus of lariat parts that they wanted to get rid of so they made up the stx package. I think the only thing unique to it was the grille and radio
  20. I think one of the issues with the gladiator is that the bed looks too long. A slightly shorter bed would work well on both I think.
  21. If ford ever gives the escape the new Chinese corporate face (like the evos) and the large digital dash, I feel the escape would immediately be more competitive with the crv and rav4. The escape has had huge discounts pretty much since the beginning of this generation. I believe making only those two changes would instantly let them get ATP’s much closer to the MSRP. it also could be that people are more accepting of an “off road” vehicle having a little NVH than a regular vehicle.
  22. Escape had a good month. But it seems like almost every entry in that segment did good except the rav4. I’m surprised to see it drop so much. Absent from the data is Nissan so I don’t know how the rouge did. It’d be nice to see the escape be in the top 3 again. Honda CRV 42,090 up 45.02% Toyota RAV4 30,018 down 12.46% Mazda CX5 20,595 up 69.65% Subaru Forester 20,006 up 12.02% Ford Escape 19,951 up 35.98% Hyundai Tuscon 18,848 up 21.19% https://www.goodcarbadcar.net/2021-us-vehicle-sales-figures-by-model/
  23. I think the interior is the best part. Much better than the bronco sports interior.
