  1. Exactly. Bzcat posted a pic of the jaguar e pace earlier and I think that’s a great example of how a crossover should be designed. The jaguars I have seen (both e pace and f pace) seem to do a great job appealing to many different tastes. In certain trims they can look aggressive and sporty, others it can look tame and luxurious.
  2. So what’s going on with the DRLs on the sport? In some of those pics, just the circle around the headlight is lit, on others it’s just the bar coming out of the headlight is lit, and others have them both or none lit. Even on the same vehicle, the DRLs are different on each side. Maybe the camera just got a pic with the lights were flickering?
  3. Wireless charging isn’t available on a regular escape se, but it is an option on the se sport hybrid. It doesn’t look like the SEL has it available either, but it’s standard in the titanium. i think the ford pass app is a nice feature. I like the fact that I have free remote start although I don’t ever use it. It’s also nice to get information about your vehicle, like recalls. If you bought a ford warranty, then all the information is right there too. Being able to see how much gas you have is kinda nice too. I believe those reward points can be used to buy anything at the dealership. I like the ford floor liners better than weathertech so I’m probably going to use my points to buy those.
  4. Its kinda in between. It has the same wheelbase as the rav4, but it’s 5.7 inches longer. It has less cargo room and about the same rear legroom. I think it’s smaller than the edge and other vehicles in that segment.
  5. I was kinda thinking this too, but they chose to go a more premium route, kinda like the mariner and escape.
  6. Yeah that character line looks terrible. I didn’t like it on the highlander and I don’t like it here either. Interior is nice though.
  7. I don’t think it’s bad, but it does look a bit dated to me. It reminds me of an older Lexus like Harley said. Its basically a copy of the Toyota harrier from the Japanese market. I think this will do well with the older crowd.
  8. https://www.motor1.com/news/423753/2021-toyota-venza-first-look/ https://autos.yahoo.com/toyota-venza-returns-2021-two-150000898.html The new venza will be a hybrid only model, with projected 40 mpg combined. The yahoo article mentions this is slightly larger than the rav4 even though they share the same wheelbase. The interior looks pretty nice.
  9. https://www.motor1.com/news/423806/ford-ranger-thunder-edition-europe/ take away that roll bar and it looks pretty cool. It gets the same Diesel engine as the raptor. I could see some of this coming over here as a sport appearance package of some sort.
  10. i mean there’s already a gigantic box of sensors right in the middle of the windshield. Seems like the auto dim mirror should just come with it.
  11. https://www.motor1.com/news/422870/nissan-frontier-nismo-shown-dealers/ the video shows a leaked pic of a Frontier Nismo shown are a dealer conference.its a bit grainy and hard to see, but it looks pretty aggressive. Not sure if this is a concept or what.
  12. Not to mention that more employers are getting used to their employees working from home. Office space kinda seems like a waste of money now, however I think I remember that ford got some grants or something to fix up the train station.
  13. Also the chrome and lack of the large ford emblem also point to platnium
  14. I had a fusion se and thought the interior design and materials were pretty nice. I thought it was one of ford’s better interiors.
  15. Ford NA needs to step up its game, because those Chinese interiors are 100x better than what we are getting. Ford Maverick (old escape) ford escape Ford territory Ford edge While I was checking out the Chinese website, I also saw the Everest. I don’t know if it was a bad translation or what, but google showed the name as the Ford Road Shaker ?. I really like the looks of the everest, especially with all the chrome blacked out and with black wheels. I’d probably buy this right now if it was available. Even when the bronco comes out, it would still be a tough decision since I would really prefer a vehicle with a solid roof.
  16. Does that mean that this truck would be smaller in size then the escape/bronco sport, or would the maverick crossover be larger than the current Ecosport? I can see a compact escape/bronco sport sized truck working in the USA, but I don’t see a sub compact fiesta size truck doing very well.
  17. Borg was mentioning on gmi that there’s a maverick crossover too. That would lower the costs some with them sharing the majority of parts. that got me wondering though, isn’t the bronco sport basically a maverick crossover?
  18. I also think the bed will be longer than the cargo area of the bronco sport. For example, the bed of that fiat and Peugeot are around 4 feet long. I think the cargo area of the escape is about 3.5 feet long and the bronco sport is supposed to be slightly shorter I think. The supercrew ranger has a 5 ft bed for reference. while the styling of most of these lifestyle trucks isn’t my cup of tea, they all seem to have some pretty innovative features, especially when it comes to the tailgate. I hope ford does something similar.
  19. if I had to guess, I think it will look more like this VW tarok concept and less like the fiat toro or the other ones posted. I think the Hyundai Santa Cruz will also be in this segment.
  20. Mulch or a lawn mower would fit in both, but I’d rather not get dirt or gas all over the interior of a vehicle. Id guess you could fit a recliner, chest of drawers, desks, probably could get a loveseat back there too if it rests on the tailgate. A dresser would probably fit with a bed extender too.
  21. Back when I had a truck, when I’d use the bed, it was mainly for one or two items at a time. Maybe I was moving a dresser, lawn mower, picking up some bags of mulch, etc. I also used it when I was moving, but that’s before I found that hiring movers was so much easier lol. My point is, 95% of the time, I didn’t need the whole bed. Usually half was just fine. I think most people would be fine with a small bed. Especially those that are looking at a sub compact truck. I’d imagine the buyers of this want a small vehicle that’s like a cuv but allows them to carry bigger items every once in a while. I don’t think they will be expecting to carry 8ft pieces of plywood In it. im thinking people who like the ridgeline but want something even smaller.
  22. man, those two doors look awful. If ford does make a two door, hopefully they can execute better than those.
  23. Just think of how many they would sell if they fixed that face???. I still haven’t seen one on the road, but I’m not surprised about any vehicle selling right now with all the incentives going on and the free money the government just handed out. My local dealer has 32 in stock right now which seems to be more then what they normally stock of models not named f150. I checked cargurus.com and there are 230 in my area. Of those, all but 2 have been on dealer lots for 30 days or more. 197 have been on lots for 50 days or more, 136 have been on lots 100 days or more, with the oldest being 262 days. breakdown by trim is as follows: s - 20 se - 127 sel- 80 titanium - 3 Car gurus counts the hybrid as a different model so it’s not included in the numbers above. There are 16 hybrids available in my area. 11 of those have been on lots 50 days or more. 8 have been on lots for 80 days or more. Maybe this shows they are selling fast, maybe this shows that they are selling slow. Honestly I have no idea what the average time a car sits on a dealer lot is so I can’t make any judgement on sales myself, just thought I’d throw out some data.
  24. https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/is-this-the-8-or-12-screen-for-2021-f150.67/ Pic of the interior with the smaller screen.
