  1. This right here. Removable top is the main thing for most bronco buyers. I’ve suggested a fixed roof over on 6g and basically got laughed at lol.
  2. This thing is so cool. Really like those wheels too. Wish I could get them for my bronco.

  4. I’ll start by saying I think a 4 dr mustang could be cool and I have no problem with it, but I think it’s an incredibly risky venture, especially after a 1.9 billion loss on EVs. Sport sedans usually work on luxury models, but most affordable sports sedans fail. Kia stinger is a good recent example. Chevy SS is also a good example, but I think it was a little more pricey. You might say the charger worked, but it’s more of the exception than the rule. It also shared a platform and many parts with the challenger and 300. It’s also old as dirt and all the equipment, engineering, etc was paid off years ago. Throw in fleet sales and Dodge was probably making a decent profit on it and didn’t mind that its sales (70-80k) were fairly low. Ford’s situation will be completely different.
  5. I think it would be tough for ford to make it under $25k. Even including the tax credit, it might be hard to get that low. To qualify for the tax credits, aren’t there requirements now? Ford would have to make sure it meets all those requirements. Maybe that’s not a big deal. I also hate these tax credits. It provides no incentive to the automakers to try and make a cheaper vehicle.
  6. Yeah I agree, midsize does seem a bit odd. You see what a success the maverick has been and you’d think that would be the obvious choice. It’s smaller, lighter, and lower to the ground, all things that would help an EV
  7. Ford could make small vehicles for a profit if they really tried, but they have more important issues to focus on like quality control and their EV situation. I also think other brands can make them profitably because they aren’t built in the USA. GM is importing 3 or 4 vehicles under 25k that are some of its best sellers. Prices keep going up. The average new car price is almost 50k now. If prices continue to increase, the pool of people who can afford new cars is going to shrink.
  8. That pic is actually the original design for the Mach E, before it was completely redesigned into the Mach E we have today. See the story below. That’s why I was joking they would rename the 3 row as a Mustang. It seems to be following a similar path that the Mach E did. https://www.thedrive.com/news/38444/this-is-what-the-ford-mustang-mach-e-almost-looked-like
  9. I predict we will get to see what it looks like in about 5 years when ford releases the new 3 row Mustang Boss-E 😆😆😆! Farley will tell stories about how the original design looked like crap and he couldn’t let that slide. He’ll even show us pictures of the original design and we will see how much better it looks now that it’s a mustang! sound familiar?😆
  10. https://insideevs.com/news/730891/ford-three-row-electric-suv-dead/ confirmation the 3 row is canceled.
  11. Even with a 5-10k discount, that still leaves you paying 20-30k for a vehicle with limitations. I just can’t see too many people jumping on that. I think what we end up with will have 300 mile range in the low 40k price range, similar to the model 3.
  12. I hope ford isn’t going the “city car” route. In theory they sound like a good idea. But they end up restricting where you can go, and nobody likes that. Every EV with a low range has been a flop. Theres a reason you don’t see gas cars with 5 gallon tanks. Even with a gas station on every corner, it’s still too much of an inconvenience to have to stop and fill up so much. Now imagine every stop taking 20 minutes.
  13. It’s funny, their American brands all sell mostly one type of product. Ram - trucks dodge - cars jeep - suvs chysler - minivan Seems wasteful to have 4 companies that cover the same lineup that most other automakers have in one company. Here’s how I would try to fix stellantis in America. 1. Kill Chrysler 2. Move Ram back under Dodge 3. If there’s still a market for minivans, bring back the caravan. 4. Dodge focuses more on SUVs, taking styling cues from the Ram instead of dodge cars as is currently being done. Share platforms with jeep or other brands to keep costs down 5. Jeep drops to 4 models; wrangler, grand Cherokee, gladiator and a bronco sport competitor 6. Wagoneer S gets changed to a Dodge 7. Dodge gets more affordable entries, including small SUVs and a maverick competitor 8. expand TRX to other models like Raptor
  14. It would be one thing if this was an affordable mid engine sports car, but 70k seems a bit steep, especially if this is some Miata sized car. I could see this do well if it was priced between the 86 and Supra. With that said, I like the looks of it
  15. I thought the whole point of the 3 row EVs crazy design was to help it achieve higher range with a smaller battery that made it affordable. Now it’s being canceled because it was too expensive? Id guess its design probably played a factor too. I’m really disappointed we aren’t gonna get to see the ford or the Lincoln.
  16. I’d like to see this in action. I have only seen this on Hyundai products and the video is shown in the cluster and is about the size of the speedometer. I’d be interested to see what it looks like on the 48” screen. It might make it a little more user friendly if the screen is larger and further away from you so you don’t have to look down.
  17. Wouldn’t that also be an argument against them then? If you rarely move them, why add the complexity of motors and software?
  18. When it’s just me in the car yes, but I find myself adjusting them quite a bit with kids in the back on these 100+ degree days we’ve been having. Now, if they had a “memory” option like seats do, I could see that working quite well.
  19. Ha, guess I’m just not the market they are looking for with that feature. Even though I love cars, I look at them as a way from point A to point B. My goal is to get to point B as fast as possible. To me, relaxing in a car is a waste of time. I’ll relax when I get home 😆. Maybe I’m the weirdo! The ac vents just seem dangerous to me. That’s not a simple button press that only takes a sec. You have to look at the screen for a while to get the vents in the right position. I’ve never used this feature in a Tesla, so maybe it’s not as bad as I imagine.
  20. here’s the TFL video. The dash is really low and the screen is far back. I guess that’s done to not interfere with the view of the road and still allow you to see the screens. Not having the screen or gauges directly behind the wheel is gonna take some getting used to. Just looks like something is missing. I think I like the position of the center screen better in the expedition since it’s a bit higher up, but my opinion might change after we see actual production photos. i think my favorite new feature is the tailgate. Like Andre demonstrates in the video, opening only the top section allows you to access the rear without having anything fall out. This comes in handy if you’ve parked on an incline or if groceries got moved around when driving. You won’t have cans or jars accidentally rolling out. Having a tailgate to sit on that’s also covered is nice. I’ve been a fan of the jet appearance package since it came out and this one doesn’t disappoint. Really like that color. The black label looks nice. It always has nice leather but I especially like this one. Wish the copper accents looked more like copper. Even after he pointed it out, it was still hard to see. 24” wheels are crazy but they look good. The biggest zonk of this new navigators interior that I haven’t seen mentioned elsewhere is the ac vents being controlled digitally. Did anyone ask for this feature? Why overcomplicate something that’s so simple? I also don’t understand the rejuvenate mode. Both seem like a waste of development costs.
  21. It’s cool to see ford offer these digital dial “skins”. Many, many years ago, I suggested to ford to create an “App Store” where users could download different Instrument panel skins. I’d bet a lot of people would be willing to throw down a few dollars to buy one. Fortnite has literally made billions of dollars from kids buying digital clothes for their characters.
  22. All cars are going to have full width screens here in the near future. Even Hyundais now have screens taking up 2/3 of the dash.
  23. It’s ok. I don’t think it will increase sales any. I don’t really pay attention to navigator or anything expedition that much but is this an L version with the larger rear? It seems like it’s about a foot too long. the lower front grille also doesn’t seem to flow well with the rest of the front design. i agree with what everyone else says about the screen. It’s funny to say this but 48” is too small, especially when it’s pushed back as far as it is. The Escalades looks much larger. And the split in the screen is way too noticeable. I couldn’t believe the “commercial” they had highlighted the split multiple times. You’d think they’d try and hide it. The nautilus does a much better job at hiding the different screens. I do like the rest of the interior though. I like the split tailgate too.
  24. I really like this. Profile looks great. I think I could even get used to the beak. Has a bit of Buick crossed with an F1 car look.
