  1. Thanks for that. I have a Reserve III Hybrid. My previous vehicle was an 2019 Edge ST so basically a slightly lighter V6 nautilus. I don't have any issues with glare yet but do plan to go 35% tint film on the fronts... likely will end up around 25-30% and below legal limit but it should be fine in my state as they don't pull over for tints. Font size for me is fine and all vehicle options such as seat controls and HVAC are pretty easy to get to (1 option to get to them.) things like sound options are a bit deeper into the system though. Voice controls using google voice assistant are default, when apple car play is open some options are unavailable though. Using the voice control button you have to short press for google and long press for Siri. I kept the "hey google" voice prompt active for now while i play with it. As for power I have yet to floor it since I am under 500 miles still and plan to baby it until 1000 miles. Even so it feels a bit less powerful from a stop but has a much better torque curve from a roll than my 2.7L did. Highway passing is effortless and sometimes even surprising. Trying to beat a red light has actually scared me when it took off much faster than i expected. I'm betting its about as fast as the 2.7 nautilus on paper but the power is much more usable since the EV torque is at all RPMs and instant. I plan to do a full 0-60 and 1/4 mile log with my dragy. I agree it feels significantly larger than my Edge but the B pillar is thicker and front doors are not as long. Also you don't get as much seat travel. I am 6'2" and still don't need the seat all the way back but I'm close to the end of travel. If you prefer to sit up high you might feel cramped. Seat in its lowest position and all the way back has me stretching to reach the pedals but looking out the rear seat window. Reverse camera video quality is Ok but I don't feel as good as my edge (daytime only). Road noise is very low and virtually no wind noise at all even with the 22" wheels. I am getting the popping rear shock noise others complain about but even with that its still much quieter than my edge. It doesn't sound like marbles as others describes, for me it sounds like a slightly loose strut with sound deadening over top of it. My edge actually made a similar noise since new but 10x louder. The panoramic roof is actually slightly narrower than in my edge but still very nice. Massaging seats are strong and a very nice touch. the revel sound system is incredibly clear with amazing bass and treble range at all volume levels. Found you can install amazon video and actually watch movies while in park too. Comes in handy when you have to pick someone up after work every day and they are never ready on time!...
  2. I know that the advertised system output for the Chinese market is a bit lower than the US (Likely due to emissions standards). Korea doesn't get the hybrid at all. Do you know what your rated output is? I wonderif We will have any noticeable difference in feel with the additional HP in the states..
  3. Good point. The electric motor output could easily be adjusted to whatever they need. probably some power loss due to the GPF and they compensate with higher output from the motor generator. It effects the total system output because you probably don't get peak gas engine power and peak motor gen power at the same moment since the gas engine makes power up past 6000rpm and the electric motors are in a fixed gear ratio and are controlling output speed. Dyno tests should be at 1:1 so at engine peak power the electric motors are governing the ratio more than contributing to output power.
  4. For torque I considered that but for horsepower it does make sense seeing how peak ICE HP can develop higher in RPM than the motor generator might assist. Those combined numbers might be any combination of assist from the drive motors.
  5. the spec sheet form the Chinese model claims lower HP and a larger electric motor. mathing it out says it uses a 90hp gas engine and 187hp electric motor. the spec sheet might be incorrect or I am misinterpreting it though. It claims 207 KW total output with 140 KW electric motor for Chinese version.
  6. Can you confirm the Chinese version performance numbers? (HP/Torque, 0-60). I suspect the drivetrains are not the same.
  7. Yes the US spec sheet doesn't match the Chinese at all. According to the numbers on the spec sheet they have a total output of 277hp vs 310 in the US. They claim a 140KW electric motor is used so that leaves just about 90hp for the gas engine vs 176 for the US gas engine. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if this is true.
  8. I Suspect the Chinese market doesn't get the same powertrain as the US market. According to that sheet the combined HP of the hybrid is 270 (207 KW). That is with a 140KW electric motor....
  9. Anyone have any information about the 4th gen 2.0EB used in the 24 nautilus hybrid? I'm guessing if its used with the hybrid only then the non hybrid gets the 3rd gen.
  10. In this vid you can hear a salesman say its estimated combined MPG is 37. I'm guessing city is low 40s then.
  11. I think Ford had the first parallel planetary system. Toyota was all in line until the latest version. Ford licensed some portion from Toyota, likely because Toyota patented something pretty broad about the system. its like how everyone is still paying Motorola for cell phone patents.
  12. I actually owned a Caliber... A 2007 RT and it was a credit building car for me. It was not a great car but for 25K I couldn't complain. The CVT was made by Jatco and was the same you would find in the Nissans. The caliber was a world car so everything in it was shared by other auto manufacturers.
