Moby Vic
I think all Mustangs should have the GT500 engine, too. And solid gold door handles. Lousy Ford....

What do you mean? Other than the stitching they are the same seats.. What they need is seats with some side bolsters like are offered in performance vehicles the world over... Moby Vic
Yeah, because you can't buy Recaros on your own.

Moby Vic
Let's list all the cars with better seats than the Mustang, and list their price. Maybe someone can create a matrix. Maybe we could learn something about price points.

Moby Vic
Hey, you're the one who brought it up! My favorite Spinal Tap song is "Give Me Some Money," though.
mkaresh
In themselves, better bolstered seats would add little to the cost. Big bottoms are the bigger problem. The only solution would likely be to make sport seats an option. The problem with this is that seats tend to take up a lot of room in the plant, so the manufacturing guys tend to fight against having to deal with additional ones. wally05
Actually, the GT500 seats not only have diff. stitching, they are different with bigger bolsters and such. I loved sitting in the 07 gt500... so nice.
blueovalfan
I could not just sit in a gt 500, i would have an urge to steal it
Blueblood
I haven't sat in a GT500, but their seats look identical to the seats in the V6 and GT. Ford needs to start putting actual performance seats in their performance cars..

I think the normal seats in the mustang allow movement too much, but the GT500 seats are perfect.
