boorgm
This should be fierce competition for the ridgeline. For those that want to trade in their camry for a truck, I am sure it will be the equivalent to a prius in terms of going off road and towing/hauling. It is a hybrid, if you looked at the pictures on the rear view, there's a small Hybrid Synergy badge on the tailgate. You mean it won't equal Land Rover off roading capabilities?!?! kevinb120
And what's the 'setting a new standard' for what? Copying Honda? And we get a LOT of ridgeline trades(I've seen about 12 come through just at our store here this year). Funny is that a third of them had some sort of damage to the bed area, where you could see the fiberglass in impact damage areas, the coating is paper thin. I thought they were using a modern composite like the Sport Trac's bed?? It looked like a 70's speedboat with a dent in it. and what's with this stupidity "Toyota and Nissan pioneered the idea of modern compact pickup trucks in the U.S. market, but Toyota has largely left it behind over the past decade" Tacoma has dominated the small truck range, frontier is garbage. It's one of the really good vehicles Toyota makes. Edited December 30, 2007 by kevinb120

kevinb120
AHHHH You would think Toy would look at actual Ridgeline sales trends before wasting time trying to copy it. The Avalanche has become all but invisible too, the ugly one sold, they change it into one of the best looking XUV's on the road, and nobody buys them. Bored of Pisteon
Dear God My EYES! I bet it would sell though, Toyota's designers can shit on a plate, stamp the logo on it and sell it across the country for thousands Well of course! The people who usually buy Toyotas are shit eaters anyway... The types who love to chow down on overpriced organic bean sprouts, grass, stuff like that... I don't care if I am stereotyping. It's THE TRUTH!

I can't wait until their plastic ball joints and cheap shit front end parts start breaking off if and when the time comes! Try going up north in Michigan's off road trails in this thing... rmc523
The 09' Camry! Haha!!! It'd probably still sell 400K (or whatever Camry sells these days) a year just because it was named 'Camry' and is made by 'Toyota.'
CivicDuty2007
OMG........... I just got over the Ridgeline's looks....now this? Pioneer
If Toyota puts a realistic interior in this thing, look out. It will sell like hotcakes. After all, it does have a "T" in the grille.

Explorer4X4
Toyota seems determined to have a car in every segment.. Even the ones that suck ass, like the minivan-based SUV with tiny truck bed powered by air.
