There are wind farms which are producing power and a part of the grid in NS,PEI and N.B. With the exception of sub level humming which appearantly is causing people to get sick, I think it's great for the simple reason...WHY HURT THE PLANET OR POLLUTE IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO! However, when you tell me I have to walk to work or move to an apartment 1km from work, can't travel for visits or for the enjoyment of travel, when you want to tax the living shit out of me because "only my tax dollars can save the world", when anything and everything can be linked in some possible way so I better not do anything for fear of "harming the planet", when I'm expected to panic because somebody tells me the latest "crisis" and it sound exactly like the last several crisis.... I DO NOT panic when somebody tells me a storm is coming, I prepare for power outages in the winter, I don't run the well dry in the summer, if the roads are icy I slow down..but I don't drive 10mph with my four ways on for 30miles because the roads are wet. They tried over and over to come up with a convincing argument but came up way short, so instead they used the same old tired ass analogy's (imawhosure) and empty rhetoric combined with attacks on Al Gore. We use credible sources like The Academy of sciences, The Royal society, NASA, the Meteorological society, NOAA etc. But I have learned that they believe in the invisible sky god, not science, and nothing can change their mind for they are caught up i the culture war, that's what this really all about for them. They cry about how it is going to cost them $$, yet there has really been very few laws passed so far that cost them anything, if they really cared about the $$ they would be starting threads on the $30 billion given out in annual farm subsidies, or they would be starting threads on the no contract bids in Iraq etc. It's just really a culture thing for them. Recent photos of the arctic from JPL revealed the presence of an Ice sheet the size of Spain that was not there a year ago. Actually global temperatures are falling due to lack of enough solar activity. All plants NEED CO2. The former owner of the Weather Channel John Coleman, a meteoroligist, has gone on record as saying that GW is a hoax. The new, militant stance by B.O. will impose a crushing load of carbon taxes on American industry and not impose any on foreign industries. 2012 may be too late to undo the catastrophic damage done to this country.
