I can be a little slow sometimes... However, I disagree on your take regarding the McCain campaign. They have totally missed the boat on several issues where they could have called Obama out. I think that they are rather incompetent when it comes to mudslinging.

They have totally missed the boat on several issues where they could have called Obama out. I think that they are rather incompetent when it comes to mudslinging. This one isn't even a matter of mudslinging. It's a matter of a free victory for McCain. If his campaign isn't doing anything with this, they either see it as a non-starter or they are even more inept than anyone is willing to admit. Seeing as hardly anyone else has mentioned it except a few extremely slanted websites, I would tend to think it's the former rather than the latter. But I don't think they'd ignore something that would win him the election by default.
RaZor
What's everyone's bet - Will Osama bin Laden release a video tape before Tuesday? I mean, after all, he did in 2004 just a couple days before election day, which reputably cost Kerry a few points, and considering that al Qaeda has endorsed McCain, and one would think that they would be monitoring the TV satellites and might want to stick their foot into the election. Apparently there many that think there will be one. What say you?

RangerM
....considering that al Qaeda has endorsed McCain,..... What say you? DUBAI (Reuters) - An al Qaeda leader has called for President George W. Bush and the Republicans to be "humiliated," without endorsing any party in the upcoming U.S. presidential election, according to a video posted on the Internet. "O God, humiliate Bush and his party, O Lord of the Worlds, degrade and defy him," Abu Yahya al-Libi said at the end of sermon marking the Muslim feast of Eid al-Fitr, in a video posted on the Internet. Libi, one of the top al Qaeda commanders believed to be living in Afghanistan or Pakistan, called for God's wrath to be brought against Bush equating him with past tyrants in history. The remarks were the first comments from a leading al Qaeda figure referring, albeit indirectly, to the U.S. elections. Muslim clerics often end sermons by calling on God to guide and support Muslims and help defeat their enemies. In 2004 al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden issued his first video in more than a year just days before the elections to deride President Bush and warn of possible new September 11-style attacks. Bin Laden made little mention of Bush's Democratic challenger John Kerry, telling Americans: "Your security is not in the hands of Kerry or Bush or al Qaeda. Your security is in your own hands and each state which does not harm our security will remain safe."
Bored of Pisteon
Come on, no need to personally attack the poor plumber for bringing up a glaring problem with Obama. Licensed or not, I don't even care, he had a point. And you know what else? It was Obama who approached him in the street! Not the other way around, and for these scumbags to try and dig up dirt on Joe the Plumber tells you pretty much what the mindset of most Obama supporters really and truly stand for and are about. Really, based solely on what gets forwarded to you? That's accurate. Right up there with an ABC poll that puts Obama what 12, 15, 20 points ahead while none of the others do. lol There is no doubt that each side has their fair share of over zealous supporters. But to date, the McCain campaign has not conducted an unlawful investigation of a private citizen simply because they got some press they didn't like. Which reminds me, if Obama wins the election we will all have to change our screen names here. "Comrade Deanh" kinda rolls of the tongue doesn't it? Then we have McCain on the other hand overquoting Joe and "I've got the scars to prove it"....enough already...I'm glad the responsibility of the vote is on you guys shoulders...i would be tempted to vote for neither....all I can say is "Ringling Bros"....insert apt animals for each party....Comrad Deanh...LOL! actually does have a ring....
