saintlaz1
Think back fellas to the re-designed Five Hundred....then when it appeared at Chicago...it was a Taurus. Now, I realize that changing the nameplates is a lot easier than changing a grille/front end...but wouldn't it be interesting if the MK-C shows up at Chicago as a Mercury? Complete with a waterfall grille and a tweaked roof/rear quarter window design.... Interesting Yes, Appealing no. I would like to see something different for Mercury. 630land
The Lincoln C got good reviews by Autoextremist.com and other news sites. The days of huge gas hogs has past.

Hey RMC...you got some impressive photoshopping skills....make the Lincoln "C" into a Mercury....please??
rmc523
Hey RMC...you got some impressive photoshopping skills....make the Lincoln "C" into a Mercury....please?? Well thanks, first of all. Do you want it exactly as-is, just w/ a Mercury grille/ emblems? Also, I won't promise it on any timeline, only that I'll get to it when I can, as I don't have much spare time right now. RMC...work your magic, I think you could start with the waterfall grille and emblems, that is a good start. I would like to see a revamp of the roof line/rear quarter window treatment to something along the lines of 83-86 Cougar, but whatever you got time for.....and take your time bud......we're good. controller
I would wager that the introduction of the Lincoln-C concept was the death of Mercury. Maybe they should consider replacing Mercury with an SVT division? Ford/Lincoln/SVT
NickF1011
Maybe they should consider replacing Mercury with an SVT division? Ford/Lincoln/SVT That wouldn't make any sense, since SVT is wholly managed within the Ford brand already. No other automakers have a setup like that with a stand-alone performance division. Really doesn't make much sense.

battyr
It might be too early for Ford to release anything about the C2 platform. If they want to keep it secret, we might be waiting until next year.
