PREMiERdrum
What? The Fiesta got a Brazilian? Ouch! Seriously, am I missing something? Is this just an MCE of the old Fiesta down there to make it look like the new one? Or are these mules? Because good Lord that's ugly! ausrutherford
I guess Ford will have both fiestas down in SA.
PREMiERdrum
I guess Ford will have both fiestas down in SA. What's better than one "party" south of the border? Two.
silvrsvt
Man that thing is a bad mix of early 1990's NA Styling trying to bring it into 21st Century styling!!!
99SVT01?
Those pics look like the Fiesta and 1st gen Focus had a child. And both parents were brother and sister............
Edstock
Woof. The cut-out in the hood for the headlight lens is awkward. It doesn't follow the curve of the lens under it, to give it the notch-effect which, IMHO causes disharmony. Better to just follow the curve. It looks like they just had to use the previous model's hood.
battyr
Those pics look like the Fiesta and 1st gen Focus had a child. And both parents were brother and sister............ I had the same thought. Looks like they wanted a car the size of a Focus, but the cost of a Fiesta. Odd, does not look like a product of One Ford. battyr
I think that is the body of the first generation Focus added to a Fiesta front and rear end. My guess is that they are using the Focus body to test the Fiesta for the weight and size of the up coming B-Max.
BORG
Wow, that is a new kind of ugly! I mean seriously, this is the epitome of wretched design! Holly frak that is amazing! Edited February 9, 2010 by BORG
Ford Jellymoulds
Another Fiesta based oddball is the Bantam wonder if it would do well in North America as you like your pick-ups?
BORG
Another Fiesta based oddball is the Bantam wonder if it would do well in North America as you like your pick-ups? Nope, that shipped sailed a long time ago.
battyr
Another Fiesta based oddball is the Bantam wonder if it would do well in North America as you like your pick-ups? The Bantam would make a great car/toy. If it had enough power and reasonable quality, I would buy one. I like to carry big things and go off road, but don't need a real truck. I don't need to carry a cord of wood, but do need to carry a big screen tv or a ladder.
Edstock
The South Africans pound the crap out of them, and they hold up.
bzcat
So this is based on the previous gen Fiesta or another update of late 80s Fiesta based Ikon?
ausrutherford
So this is based on the previous gen Fiesta or another update of late 80s Fiesta based Ikon? This is the facelift of the Brazilian Fiesta.
bzcat
Yea ok... I see it now. The Brasilian Fiesta is just a 4 door Figo. Looks like Ford is going to keep the previous Fiesta platform alive for a while. Edited February 9, 2010 by bzcat
timmm55
Another Fiesta based oddball is the Bantam wonder if it would do well in North America as you like your pick-ups? I love those things! In San Diego we see some South of the Border vehicles. This should be a "One Ford" model.
