MY93SHO
Watching the Top Gear US episode where they are testing the big 3 patrol cars. The PI/ ecoboost spanked the Charger and Caprice in the 0-100-0 test. Brakes were actually most impressive although once the turbo's spooled up it walked away from the other two. RichardJensen
Looks like Sioux Falls went with the PI & PIU: http://www.argusleader.com/article/20120929/NEWS/309290042/Police-trade-up-from-Crown-Vics?odyssey=mod%7Cnewswell%7Ctext%7CHome%7Cs&nclick_check=
blazerdude20
I posted a few months back about my local police department switching from crown vic and charger to caprice. Well low and behold the Caprice got into an accident and has been out of service for over a month waiting on parts. I see this being a huge obstacle for police departments and GM. FordPaul
Our local force hates the Chargers they bought to replace the CV's. They have 3 Taurus PI on order to gradually phase out the Chargers.
theoldwizard
Brakes were actually most impressive... Check the size of these rotors !!!
fordmantpw
Unfortunately, I've been seeing more and more Chargers for the Highway Patrol here in MO. Hopefully they are just a few "test cases" before switching over to PIs...I don't want my tax money going to constantly repairing the vehicles! silvrsvt
I saw a Caprice Police Car up in Jersey...was being used by the local cops and not the state troopers. It really stuck out...not in a good way.
