RichardJensen
WOW, another design flaw. And with public, on record, and in ENGLISH descriptions of Toyota's jerry-rigging of the design. I think you should send this link to the NHTSA......................

jaydez
wait... let me get this straight. The airbag will deploy if the harness come unplugged? That doesnt seem like a good design to me.
2005Explorer
This does not suprise me. Toyota is now at the point they seem to really be cutting corners on everything...and why not? People will continue to buy their stuff in record numbers anyhow, they know this, so they can cut corners and increase profit to higher levels. range
Its getting hard to keep track of all these problems at Toyota. The people at Consumer Reports must really be distressed

2005Explorer
Hey, it worked for GM. No, wait.... I guess it didn't. Well it worked long enough for them to get a "no one can touch us" attitude. Toyota is at that point now. Something bad will have to happen to them like it has to GM and Ford...nothing like a close call with death to realize you are not invincible. kevinb120
Toyota makes exactly 0.0% effort to do anything other then get the vehicle to score well in the exact static controlled tests. The rav 4 still has no rear bumper whatsoever.
