The only part I would disagree with is that going after Saddam was a financial decision. I believe that there was a real threat of terrorism to the U.S. either directly from Saddam or indirectly through Saddam supported Al Qaeda camps.

 

If you were president and terrorists had just killed thousands of people with a terrorist attack on US soil, would you sit back and let Saddam continue to operate the way he was operating and HOPE that another attack didn't happen? A leader who had already used WMDs on his own people and defied inspectors? Not me.

 

Did it financially benefit Halliburton? Sure. But I contend that Halliburton would have been involved regardless of which party was in power because they have the best resources readily available for such an action.

We knew immediately after the 911 attack it was planned and done primarily by Saudi`s. Why didn`t we attack Saudi Arabia? Simple. The "Bush" Dynasty going back to Prescott Bush have been in Bed with the Saudi`s for a hundred years (including) very close ties with the bin Laden Family. We chose to attack the least radicalized Moslem Nation in the entire Middle East! Saddam Hussein was the least religious Leader of any Moslem County, period. In Iraq,Women could Vote, drive automobiles, didn`t have to wear Vails, and he allowed his token Christian and Jewish residents to be left alone. Liquor, Gambling, and public Dancing was also overlooked. We picked a fight with the (wrong) Nation.

Countries change alliances all the time. In the 1980s, compared to Iran, Hussein seemed reasonable. Unless I missed the time his government instigated the takeover of our embassy in Baghdad.

 

 

 

Hispanics are, in fact, Caucasians. Even the ones that work in fields. And, in the 1930s, plenty of non-Hispanic Caucasians worked in the fields. Not all share-croppers in the South, for example, were African-Americans.

Come down to Sunny Florida and find (any) Caucasian`s "non-Huspanic" that are picking Oranges, including any of the Straw Bosses. If you have ever traveled to Puerto Rico or any other Caribbean Hispanic Island, notice who has the better Jobs. Funny, all the "Black" Cubans never made it to Miami, wonder why? There is more skin color discrimination amongst Latino`s then any other culture. Go to a bank or large global corporation and see what their executives look like. Looking for someone with a "Tan" look for them where the "Porters" congregate.

Kirby; You a Student of History? Check out where Saddam Hussein obtained his Poison Gas and Chemical Warfare? Uncle Sam through Donald Rumsfeld. Make you feel any better that he gassed his rebellious Kurds with Poison Gas that was made in the USA? I`m sure since our Department of War was the supply source, the Sin was not quite so bad.

In the 1930s, Hispanics did not own and operate farms in California or the South. So how does your post prove that non-Hispanic Caucasians will not perform agricultural labor?

Remember, according to people of his ilk, George W. Bush was bumbling moron who was completely inept and drunk / stoned most of the time. But yet that complete moron was able to baffle the intellectual geniuses who lead the Democratic Party. And he was able to do so for most of them, long before he was ever voted President. So, if Bush is as dumb as the Left thinks, doesn’t that make the Left even dumber for believing him? Or is Bush a genius, who was able to trick a group of dimwits?
