That flat plane V-8 is awesome, any chance of a flat plane 3.9 V-6?

The first question would be;

Could a flat-plane crank even work in a V-6 application?

You are right, I did follow the links and the equivalent in a six apparently is a flat six, a flat six has a flat plane crank. Could a flat plane crank work in a V6? I researched that too, the optimum angle for a V6 is either a 180 degree, 120 degree or 60 degree, with the 180 degree the forces of the pistons exactly cancel so no need for added weight si a FFC can be used. GM had a 90 degree V6 and got it to work by adding a counter balancer.

I wonder has Ford ever dabbled in flat sixes?
