jniffen
Not complaining, just wondering why Ford didn't provide the choice of leather seats for that model. Like they really didn't want to offer it but had to, to appease someone.
akirby
Because the V6 is the base model.
Dave-S
Just curious, but since you can get leather in the Ecoboost model, does anyone have the sales breakdown of that model that would give the percentage sold with/without leather?
fuzzymoomoo
I can tell you from working on the line there, V-6 mustangs are somewhat rare, and a majority seems split between the 5.0 and the 2.3 EB. They positioned the EcoBoost model to be the main volume model, so that's where you will find more of the premium features compared to the V-6. bzcat
V6 was retained mainly for rental fleets. But even the rental car companies are ordering mainly Ecoboost models because they don't want to get stuck with the V6 and likely horrible residual value 2 or 3 years from now. jniffen
I'm just wondering what is the life expectancy of the turbos themselves, not the engine, and the cost for repair/replace.
akirby
They're tested to 150K.
