trailfndr
What a crock of shit. Tier 2 is one of the biggest shit stirrers we have on this forum. NO WAY did the UAW tell him this garbage. MOST of us are intelligent enough to know that Ford will not allow a strike or walkout of any kind. They need vehicles too badly. They are to far behind on the F-150, Mustang, explorer and others, to allow it to hurt the business.

littlecountry
http://finance.yahoo.com/video/fords-escape-gets-facelift-123800025.html?.tsrc=applewf This video says they will go back to table but your not going to gain anything
MAPguy
If they go back to the table, we will probably lose a lot of U.S. investment. I am not sure if people truly understand that losing U.S. investment means less job security for younger workers? There was $9 billion in U.S. investment, and the creation of 8,000 jobs in this contract. Be assured that Mexico will happily take thousands of jobs, Wall Street would cheer, Ford stock will go up and the executives would get bigger bonuses. Ford will not offer more money. They will just look at this as an opportunity to send more jobs to Mexico, and not one person will blame Ford for doing so, because we voted this contract down. MTP'er
Mapguy get your head our of your ass. The 8000 jobs are being retained. And the product that MAP is getting is a long way off, they can still change there minds and not put anything at MAP. ISA lost 2 press lines in this contract and they went to 3 tier Woodhaven. So thank you Mapguy for your yes vote. I know you will be layed off at the first of the year but enjoy the down time.

chassisgroupleader
If this contract does not Pass, Ford is not going back to the table ,that is what we have been told. Jimmy will do a re-vote and if it Fails we are on Strike, A foolish strike with no Demands or out of Reach Demands.

Now if Ford says let's work it out and Jimmy says revote, I say we march to Solidarity House and drag his ass out and throw him in the river.

If Ford wants to go back to the table its because they are going to give us a worse offer. Ford don't want to give you a god damn thing. They may not offer anything better but they are not shutting down plants.

fuzzymoomoo
Don't agree with teir2 much, but he's dead on here!! how do you figure? good economy = good for FMC; bad economy = bad for FMC. what's so hard to figure out about that? they certainly aren't closing any plants. not right now at least. they need everything they can build right now
