Anthony
Yeah, but was it a FORD Focus? ?
mackinaw
We rag on this car, because of its dual-clutch transmission issues, but this thing can be a blast to drive. We spent most of last week in Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula (juts out into Lake Superior). Think twisty, up and down, roads. I hammered our 2012 SEL around the corners and this thing sticks to the road like it has glue on its tires. Plus, the dual-clutch tranny (nearing 80,000 miles) worked flawlessly. Also, on the way back we stopped at a waterfall where I noticed a dark-grey Focus RS in the parking lot with manufacturer’s plates. Mind you, we’re about 600 miles from Dearborn. I walked over to talk to the driver who was an engineer from Ford. He was recruiting new engineers at Michigan Tech University in Houghton, Michigan (Tech is a great engineering school). He took along the RS to show the students. BTW, I averaged 39 miles/ gallon over 1,000+ miles.
fuzzymoomoo
Took ours up to Glen Arbor last week. Put about 750 miles on it round trip. Averaged about 37.5mpg for the trip. 5M tranny. And that was with my wife driving through the hills on M-22 for a while and she refuses to downshift like, at all.... :glare: Edited September 17, 2017 by fuzzymoomoo
92merc
I've been seeing commercials for the Ford Focus as well. Up here, they are advertising the "Northland edition". Which means it has heated seats, heated mirrors. Couldn't tell you what the price was though.
blksn8k2
Hopefully they are trying to move a bunch so they can start building Rangers sooner.
fuzzymoomoo
Hopefully they are trying to move a bunch so they can start building Rangers sooner. Now why would they do such a thing when they could take their dear sweet time and piss off an entire plant worth of employees
