blackboost
Just curious if anyone has seen a 2025 Explorer on a dealer's lot, or any delivered yet? Thanks!
morgan20
All 2025 Explorers ordered by Capitol City Ford in Indianapolis are in-transit, not yet on the dealer lot. Here is the window sticker for one of those in case you want to review: https://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?token=vJpyTU6%2Fr4Y6mddtEqDoDzpgk33QpmH4d21mIcQQPlqDmMqs%2FPkHpoE%2BrIM44OhaQEetciJWty7Cp2DyO2Hiwr7sMlPU6DT28zXBKebW%2FIbzPmkSdyyItul098myHPl7d1JfB4sDGHB%2BgT3OpA1NWkwQOwlNXOxNgcAtBPBgowQ%3D
blackboost
Everything I have seen online is listed as "In Transit" as well. Mine has been "In Production" since the June 15th. I am wondering if there is some sort of issue.
morgan20
Ford's quality check process is taking longer than expected on several 2024 and 2025 models. 2024 F-150 shipments to dealers got delayed earlier this year because of that. 2025 Explorer is probably affected too
Bird of prey
Any updates on when the explorer will be released? I have one on order.
Exit32
I ordered a 2025 Lincoln Aviator (Explorer's cousin) on February 16, 2024. My retail order was submitted the same day, and I received e-mail confirmation from Lincoln immediately. Most recent e-mail order-status update from Lincoln was received on May 17, 2024. It said: I've been checking status online from time to time, but there's been zero progress with production.
Bird of prey
I got the same email right after I ordered it last month.

I received notice today (23rd) that mine has shipped on July 21st. I had been checking everyday, and had noticed the green dot had moved to from "built" to "order confirmed", and I figured that had to have some meaning. Now the green dot is back to "shipped". morgan20
In case anyone is curious about the kinds of quality concerns on 2025 Explorers that are taking extra time to correct before the vehicles are shipped to dealers, here is an example: 1

Many of those problems likely would have been passed through previously and subsequently led to an unhappy customer. 1

Yup...the ole 'let the dealer fix it' doesn't seem to be in play here. 1
