Any 2025 Explorers delivered yet?

At least they appear to be taking the quality problems seriously.  Many of those problems likely would have been passed through previously and subsequently led to an unhappy customer.

Yup...the ole 'let the dealer fix it' doesn't seem to be in play here.

Yea, that's a step in the right direction at Ford and a refreshing change from when I worked there. Hopefully 2025 Explorer customers who may be frustrated by delays in getting their new vehicle are happy with its quality

In case anyone is curious about the kinds of quality concerns on 2025 Explorers that are taking extra time to correct before the vehicles are shipped to dealers, here is an example:

I did not know these sheets even existed.......now I have learned.   Are they included with the car when delivered to the dealer, or left at the plant?

We picked our ST up, and so far, we have been very happy with it.  I had one issue resolved, which was the passenger side front door inside door pull TRIM was loose at the back. The dealer installed a new clip, and now it seem fine.  The only other thing that I have noticed, is the left side of the sunroof shade does not quite go all the way forward when closed, and I can make out a little bit of light coming through the gap at the edge. I may see if something can be done to correct it.  It only lacks a little more than a 1/16" to be unnoticeable.  I have not washed it yet, and that is when I will probably "see" the first paint flaws. Hopefully they will be minor.  I thought my Edge paint was exceptional, and very little orange peel.

The tires seem to be quiet, and overall the ride is better than the 2021 Edge ST we traded in.  Both have 21" wheels/tires, but the Explorer seems to take the cracks and different levels of pavement with less harshness.  I have not pushed the engine yet, but I feel like the Edge ST was a bit more responsive.

I saw similar reports left in vehicles over many years at the dealership level. The reports were in different formats but included the same type of information.

I guess my dealer has never offered to show me those.  I would like to have seen what they showed?!

Most Dealers probably aren't even aware that they exist. When vehicles are inspected at the time of delivery to the dealerships, there are several bits of paperwork scattered inside the vehicle which are usually overlooked and not considered important to the inspection process. I probably inspected at least 80% of the vehicles that were delivered to my dealership for many years and pulled all the paperwork. The inspection process is limited to carrier and/or in-transit damage which has to be noted on the BOL (Bill of Lading) and submitted with photos to the carrier firm.

This is good information!  I did find some paperwork once in a new F350 I bought, but it was more a "build sheet" as to what options to install, rather than a defects sheet.

Have the dealer correct it.  I’ve had two STs and neither had any visible light pass through when the shade was closed.

Picking up my 2025 ST on Tuesday

Congrats! I hope it all goes well for you.

I was finally able to try the Blue Cruise on ours.  It seems to work well even in a 35-45 mph crosswind, and the highway speed wind noise was very good.
